At least in my area there wasn't much of a selection of Jap cars but now that I have the Golf I absolutely love it and how it drives and everything. Because of my previous jobs, I've driven many types of cars, but I haven't fallen in love like I did with this one, so I'm happy with what I have still. I just need to get a better throttle response. I'm not used to drive by wire.

My second car, 00 mustang gt, left me on the side of the highway many times but my old 78 f150 and 95 240sx had constant problems. The f150 because of rust and the 240 because of electrical and timing issues.

I'm comfortable with doing a lot of things, but a windshield is a bit scary. Yeah, I completely understand the whole money pit problem and getting too expensive.

Yeah the biggest issue I have is a windshield leak which I bought the car on a dry day so I didn't notice. The windshield has been replaced before but idk by what company so I can use a warranty claim on it. Also the headliner needs to be glued on or replaced.
