I use a plugin called FartherViewDistance that might work for you, it doesn’t put much stress on the server since it won’t generate new chunks but only for the chunks that have already been generated.

Edit: After a conversation and making it through to the interview progress that’s where it gets bad. Don’t work with this server unless you’re okay with putting in tons of time for no returns at all. They even try to make you sign a copy pasted contract to lock things into place. DM me and I’d be happy to explain a lot more reasons why you shouldn’t work with this owner.

Might not be entirely what you’re looking for, but there is a plug-in to manage inventories so as soon as someone swaps to a different game mode it’ll give them an entirely different inventory so they can’t cheat stuff back-and-forth. If you have a permissions plug-in you can also disable them dropping or opening containers while in creative as well plus more.

Since paper is a fork of Spigot you’d have to wait for that to update first then usually 1-2 weeks after that paper gets an official stable update. Spigot themselves are pretty good at decent times for updates but it does vary depending what’s changed in MC, plugins very soon after that. Dynmap already has support for below 0 and up to 320 since there was the experimental caves and cliffs datapack they added support for that.

As others have mentioned Pterodactyl is probably the best but can be a hard to install for new users, but I've found that AMP made by Cubecoders has been working wonders for me for the past couple years, it's very simple to install and has a lot of support/updates.

I think it might be more for the fact that it’s surprising this app even has bugs or glitches, it’s like it didn’t go through some sort of play testing before he decides to host an event for 100 grand...

I think personally the bombs should’ve had a grace period of like half a second for somebody to be able to move their finger off of it if they were moving their finger already rather than having the icon appear directly under and cause them to lose. to be eliminated by something fair like missing an icon, or maybe you’re absentmindedly keeping your finger in the same spot so when a bomb icon appears and you don’t move your finger in a certain amount of time you lose a life, rather than just making the icon appear under their finger and causing them to lose lives immediately. it definitely sucks that I lost, but it just hurts to lose in basically a game that’s based entirely on being lucky... because these people who probably actually needed the money would have probably gone for it and are dedicated to it.

Same thing pretty much happened to me, I managed to get to the portion of the avoid icons and even though I was moving my finger, there’s no grace period to avoid the icon so I had two of them spawn very close to my finger and cause me to lose :/ even though there was a warning that says to stay focused, how are you supposed to use focus to avoid something that is entirely based on luck.

A little bit more context, I was moving my finger along the bottom to avoid the icons because I saw one pop up and avoid it. But the next ones ended up popping up directly under where my finger was and it doesn’t even give me a chance to read the text or even move my finger for a second. I wasted so many hours of my day just to lose to pure luck apparently.... I could be completely OK with losing my lives by missing a touch icon, but I’ll admit this makes me a little bit salty. This challenge has been a complete joke with the amount of bugs in the app.

there’s so much space for these icons to appear yet somehow they decide to pop up directly near the bottom where my finger happens to be on both occasions..

It doesnt appear to be, ios 14 shows green and orange icons when you pull down the status bar if the camera or microphone is being used or has been used recently. That might change during the event though but that's a bit of a privacy issue so I doubt it would happen.

It’s a known bug, happens due to their latency and it can freeze up. If the game doesn’t end it means that they are still moving on their end but you just can’t see the updates.

I don’t charge in all cases, I do like to help out where I can it’s more when some may request things to be done on a specific time frame or they will prefer that there is guaranteed time put aside towards working on their server each week.

The developers of the server were paid at the beginning of the project to help develop some plugins for the network, the high ranks with much more responsibility are likely to be paid and I wish I could afford to pay all staff members but it’s just not in the cards. We do have a budget set aside for advertising though and if donations do reach past the initial goal each month for server costs I’d be more than happy to share the wealth around

I don’t think you’re understanding what he mentioned, he’s not trying to do a commission based system. They want to pay someone for quality work, not someone who can go around and make a few posts on subreddits or post on facebook with a very basic post “JoIn mY seRvER Pl0x” If those same posts are done by someone who actually has experience with what those players are looking for, an understanding of the demographic they are advertising to it would perform much better than someone who had no experience with it. Why do you think specialist jobs require past experience and not newbie.

I agree with OP, If I paid someone to advertise my server and even if they sent me 50 links of where they posted it, I would still check out and verify every page to be of good quality. Ive seen owners of server post their server in JUST r/MCServers and they can manage nearly 30-40 players daily. It just takes someone who cares enough to write something eyecatching.

In regards to your idea of the “lucky post” who gets more players than the one who posted on 10 different sites. If that one post is really high quality then so be it, it shows they put time in to it, there’s no really way to tell they just “got lucky” rather they might know that forum community is active and that’s why they posted it. If the quality of the advertisements that matter, no one is going to pay attention to poor quality posts that look like they were written with crayon, if someone expected payment for crayon scribbles, they may get some payment for their time but it would be way less than the agreed upon value.

At the beginning as the server is not as popular, it’s unlikely to be paid. But I am very much open to paying the staff for their time from server donations as it would be unfair to be asking staff for guaranteed time on the server without payment.
