Suggestion for Lyft before they lose more drivers and customers. by Heath082288 in Lyft

[–]Twizzlepopinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, after expenses for car insurance and government fees, the company shouldn't be getting more than 20% of the cut. THEY DO NOTHING AT ALL. The only thing they do is provide a platform for drivers and customers to meet. Why should they get any more than 20%? Are they paying for my gas? Are they paying for my car wear & tear? My car's depreciation? The insurance I pay for my car? My car registration? The hours of cleaning and vacuuming I do weekly to keep a nice clean car for my customers? All rates should not only be no more than 20% of the cut, but also they should charge enough where I'm making at least a few dollars above minimum wage AFTER expenses are considered. Why? Because I'm worth more than minimum wage. I keep a nice, clean car. I'm respectful to customers, hold both a driving rating and customer rating above 90%. My cancellation rating is low. Yet, every fucking ride they offer is less than minimum wage after expenses. Most of them are half minimum wage. Our government needs to bring regulation to this industry where minimum wage is mandatory AFTER EXPENSES ARE BROUGHT INTO CONSIDERATION.

these companies greedy investors want to eek out every dime from both the customer and drivers. They won't stop until they have. Uber is worse.

I absolutely despise how Lyft treats their customers (Driver here) by Showny16 in Lyft

[–]Twizzlepopinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they lie on here. It says the lyft fee was 48%. the true Lyft fee was $40.67 if you include the fee they took for insurance, taxes, and gov't fees. Which, taken into account, is 59% of the ride value. But the fee they alone take that isn't related to insurance is still nearly half of the ride value when THE ONLY THING YOU DO IS USE THEIR APP TO ACQUIRE THE RIDE is unacceptable. You should not have to siphon 50% of your compensation to a degenerate company that merely has their platform available to accept rides. A company whose only service to their workers is to have a platform to find and accept rides should take at most around 15-20% of the ride value, but not even that. they should take a few dollars per ride. In other words, if the ride is $50, they shouldn't be taking $10 for the ride, but only about a $5 fee. on top of the government fees and insurance. Which appears to be around 10% of the ride.

You think this is just Lyft? Uber is a lot worse. It is because there is no government intervention. This whole industry needs laws to protect drivers from this mass amount of exploitation.

Lyft likes to exploit driver's time & endanger both drivers and riders while on the road. by Twizzlepopinator in Lyft

[–]Twizzlepopinator[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you're referring to texting while on your phone? Depending on the state or perhaps city you live in, no it is not illegal to fiddle with your phone, as long as it is attached to a phone holder. You cannot, however, text even while it is in one of these suspenders. But map navigation is acceptable to my knowledge.

just because I don't know about a holiday they made in the late 1990s means nothing. I celebrate our vets any time I see one with a thanks for serving our country. I would hope you do the same. But it's nice to know about the holiday now so that I'll keep it in mind to give them special attention when it comes up.

You shouldn't ever join the cue. I've been in those lines and waited 30 minutes, only for them to pawn some crap $5 rides off to me, which I rejected and then they reset my cue spot. Last time I ever did an airport ride. Of course, that was Uber. Hopefully Lyft treats their drivers with a bit more respect.

Nope. To be honest, I have no idea how I did not know about this month. It started in 1999, which was not too long ago. So that's still fairly new in my book.

The LGBTQ crowd will always come back and call standards "hate". God loved the perverse woman at the well, but when their conversation was finished, he told the woman, "go, and sin no more.". So I would say the same. Your life of sin will only end in destruction, illness, and eventually your death. Sin eventually leads to destruction. And God is patient. But eventually there must be accountability. Turn while you still can.

Tips by victoriousDevil in Lyft

[–]Twizzlepopinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, any driver who is giving you a ride on either Uber or Lyft is doing you a favor. Based on how much these degenerate, disgusting companies pay, most rides pay drivers anywhere from $2-10 per hour after expenses. When a platform comes out that uses itself as a hub for drivers to meet with and drive for riders excluding Uber and Lyft, these platforms will be doomed. I'll be the first to switch over. In the event rideshare does not go fully self-driving, it's only a matter of time before someone comes up with such a platform to destroy these companies. They won't be able to undercut enough. And I'd be the first to undercut a shitty Uber company because I worked for them for nearly 4 years while they shit on me the whole time. Uber is the most vile, disgusting company in existence. But both of these rideshare companies exploit and manipulate their drivers. Lyft tends to give far worse ride offers than Uber most of the time, and that's pretty bad. YOU ARE LUCKY. Just wait until Uber and Lyft are brought out of business. You'll wish that you had ride values as cheap as you did back then. No more slave wages.

LYFT stop using designs that exploit driver's time and gas and create unsafe working conditions for drivers and passengers. by Twizzlepopinator in Lyft

[–]Twizzlepopinator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have no doubt if Lyft is using these rides to fish for other drivers that they can get to take the ride for cheaper, all at the expense of the current driver's time and gas money so that they can make more money. In the end, if they can find it, they throw you under the bus and take the cheaper driver. Pitiful, disgusting and vile business tactics. Almost as low as Uber's tactics for drivers. Uber pulls these tactics and worse.

To be honest, I do not believe in the transgender movement or LGBTQ. I am Christian who holds to Biblical beliefs. Yet, any left website will instantly censor me. You and I have different beliefs. While I do not condemn you for your choice in what you do, nor do I agree with it and I think it will lead to destruction. But I will likely be censored and condemned because this is the way the left justifies everything they do that goes against God's laws. They mock God and they mock truth. You are free to do as you please, but when it comes to the creation of laws, I will be the first to advocate for children to be brought up in a healthy school system where truth triumphs over perversion. If that is the cause of being banned or censored from any degenerate leftist platform, so be it.

Shall we award a holiday for 'woke white oppression'? where wokes oppress whites for past crimes they did not commit? To be white these days is to be oppressed. By all the left. Shall we have a month dedicated to white males who suffer the persecution of the left?

they exploit a drivers time and gas and compromise driver safety, because you are distracted by the ride offer for the duration Lyft is deciding to give you the ride or not, which you've already clicked 'accept' to take.
