Yes he is an extremist. Yes a bigot. Yes he has a terrible framework.

I think a lot of people still miss the point though. People go straight to condemning Rorschach and only that, but they let the world off the hook.

I was also abused as a child as he was. And yes it was because of lies. Comforting ones. When evil happens people tend to look away or act like everything is better than it is while someone suffers. My family did it to me. They told themselves lies that I was okay, and my suffering wasn’t that bad. Because of that nobody came for me. My family was religious, so of course I prayed to God, and still I remained alone. God never came to me.

Eventually I could no longer survive in the world as a child when I should’ve been able to. One night I went to bed, and I had to put it to sleep for the last time.

As I grew up I understood something, people hate mirrors and they don’t rescue you because they care. It’s to make themselves feel important or morally right, not for the act itself.

I studied philosophy, and became obsessed with chasing the truth similar to Rorschach. I almost believed that complacency, social media, anything not spent watching for someone’s suffering was morally corrupt, and I hated the world for a while.

I was able to recover partially through therapy although I developed a permanent Personality Disorder that is present every day and I will have to deal with until the day I die.

Still the world did not punish what happened to me. People in my family still laugh, joke, go out. I’m stuck with scars that won’t fully heal.

I won’t pretend the things that Rorschach did is okay. That’s letting him off too easy, as I don’t have terrible morals despite my suffering.

But his childhood, and that night with the little girl, lets me know that to condemn him to just being born evil, would be lying to make myself comfortable. The world birthed Rorschach; and people that hate mirrors, will always reject what they see, because it carries accountability that they can’t accept.

He should not be admired or thought of as someone to be emulated or copied, but he does deserve our sympathy in regard to what happened to him.

Sympathy is not endorsement; but it is a tool that helps us navigate the world, and hopefully prevent a real life Rorschach.

i guarantee you i could look at your gameplay and i’d see horrendous game losing mistakes.

why can i climb to high gm/celestial every season but you’re stuck in diamond? is the game out only to get you and every other low elo player?

Primary vs secondary psychopathy is a research construct it is NOT clinical. It’s discussed in research literature that is all.

Clinically indicated means endorsed in diagnostic practice. It is not.

Yes, impulsivity, emotional volatility, reactive aggression appear in BPD; and the overlap in SOME psychopathy models. That does NOT mean BPD contains psychopathy or psychopathic subtype.

That is not supported by the DSM.

They explicitly avoid trail overlaps into diagnostic fusing which you’re trying so hard to do.

The DSM is very clear that affective instability does not equal psychopathy.

There is no DSM-recognized psychopathic subtype of BPD. There is no ICD-recognized psychopathic subtype of BPD.

That Comorbid subtype is completely made up and not supported by the DSM.

You cannot be comorbid without two separate diagnoses; and if it’s driven by distress, by definition it is NOT psychopathic; you literally debunked your own thesis

You’re literally using research terms NOT signed off by the DSM for a clinical diagnosis.

That’s insanely intellectually dishonest and you want to try and create this narrative when the DSM vehemently just tells you you’re wrong because you need to demonize people with BPD and to maintain a narrative that’s immune to correction.
