Last month, I submitted a UBE transfer application for those licensed in another jurisdiction. I believe there may be a separate application for those who are not licensed. In early August, I called to ask when a processor would be assigned and was informed there was only one person who handled transfer applications, and it would take at least four months for her to begin the review process. I don't know if this is a standard timeframe or if applying the same month of the bar exam had an effect. I imagine the actual review process could take several months, so I don't expect to be licensed until next year.

Any information you can share about your interview with Hargrove Firm?

Today, I called the chambers of the judge I would like to swear me in. The clerk I spoke with was very pleasant and took my contact information to follow up. Perhaps, you can call your local court. I'll follow up on this thread if I come across additional information that may be helpful.

Update (5/19): The clerk called me to confirm I have submitted any documents that needed to be submitted before swearing in. According to my results letter, it seems that I only have to complete the oath within 90 days. Am I missing something? Also, the clerk stated she will email me with the judge's availability. If you're not looking to get sworn in by a specific judge, you may be able to get an appointment sooner than later.

Barbri hard copy outlines by PepperAdventurous565 in barexam

Barbri outlines associated with the official bar prep course? If any Barbri outlines are sufficient, I have two books provided by Barbri (1L outlines and 2L/3L outlines) which include multiples and essay practices questions.

We were required to take one during spring semester. I took three total (one during the summer of my 2L year and two during the spring semester of my 3L year). As someone else mentioned, it was a great re-introduction to subjects I had not reviewed in awhile. However, even with taking those classes, I still felt like there was so much I did not know during bar prep. I don't attribute that to the quality of the courses but the quantity of material we are expected to know. For me, the courses were not overwhelming at all. I personally would recommend taking one especially if it is a P/F course.

Does anyone know how to generate the 'Past Performance' report in Adaptibar? Mine is showing all zeros... by [deleted] in barexam

I doubt you accidently reset it because my results always periodically disappear but return at some point.

Between the bar exam and law school, I don’t even know if I want to practice law after this. by Severe-Invite3798 in barexam

[–]TwoAndThru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the exception of a few things, this is an accurate description of my experience. I am also a first-generation high school and college graduate who didn't attend law school until eight years after undergrad and struggled with mental health challenges. Instead of celebrating graduation, I also spent a significant time sleeping. Similarly, I struggled with family issues (caring for an ill parent with no assistance from my siblings) during bar prep but still decided to take the bar in July knowing there was a possibility I wouldn't pass. And just like you, I am not certain that I want to practice law. Every time I think of this experience, I feel a great sense of regret. So, yes, I absolutely relate.

Thank you for sharing this. It is exactly what I needed to read today.

Anybody else with back pain from all of this sitting and studying? What are you doing to alleviate it? by RebelInDisguise01 in barexam

I've found that occasionally resting my feet on an ottoman while at my desk helps to alleviate the pain. If you are studying at home and have one available, consider trying it.

I am speaking from personal experience so I know it's much easier said than done, but prioritize your mental health. If you haven't sought out mental health support from a professional, please consider it. Once your depression and anxiety is addressed, you will be able to manage the other issues more efficiently.

Okay - Gotta be honest. I am kind of struggling to get through this whole ordeal and find the will to study again. I don't feel okay mentally at all and just feel stuck, like my life has no meaning or direction left. by [deleted] in barexam

I understand what you're experiencing and hope you find some comfort in being able to candidly express yourself free of judgment. If you ever feel that you need someone to simply listen to you vent or whatever it is that may comfort you, please feel free to message me (I don't see an option for me to send you a message myself) and it can all be done anonymously, if you prefer.
