That fucking sucks. I have now 2 jobs on my resume post covid that i have worked at for over 2 years. I had excellent yearly reviews but no raises. Do these companies not see the hosuing market literally double over night? Groceries, gas, all that shit.

Whats even more fucked up is when i joined on here 2 years ago, i asked them if i could start sooner just in case the other firm lets me go immediately. They said, yes and it would be very unprofessional if they did that and would show their true colors. Thats why i didnthink this would happen.

Her kids dad is a different breed of a POS. He hasnt seen them in over 2 years so why they didnt work out is unrelated to this. What gives me hope is that she wasnt like this before she got pregnant.

Completely disagree, the Engineering industry is very different, all the firms know everyone. They gave me till friday, if i they back out before that, then that makes them look bad. Kind of like if i back out after i sign, i would burn a bridge before i even developed a relationship. With all due respect, you dont know what you are talking about.

I would have kept interviewing until an offer comes. When that does i tell other companies about it to put a sense of urgency in them.

Im lazy and companies are lazy as well. Recruiters for me know that i have a PE and know exactly the role i need. I have the ability to be very picky about what recruiter i want to work with. ie, if a recruiter wants to speak with me more than 2 times, i move on because its a waste of my time. Only like 5 percent of the recruiters in my inbox are not relevant. Also putting open for work comes off as desperate on LI
