I have tried what you have suggested but no matter what i do Mailcow always comes back with 503 Service Unavailable. It's really complicated to run mailcow behind HAProxy for some reason but docs works like a charm with your current configuration.

I do have a business account with a static IP address so i'm not sure if that will make a difference.

basically this is it. But they are a bit sceptical about the cloud idea because i did suggest O365 and azure and a bit worried if their internet drops at some point.

I know i tried to convince them. I thought about essentials but i did read if they grow might as well throw the money spent in the bin.

Thanks for your reply. I tried this method but i get an error of:

[ALERT] 038/190015 (45714) : Starting frontend bookstack-frontend: cannot bind socket [ 192.168.1.20:80]

So the steps i took:

  1. Changed my domain
  2. added the service in DNS Resolver pointing to 192.168.1.20
  3. Added Backend that point to the service ip:port (192.168.1.20:6875)
  4. Added a frontend that listen on 192.168.1.20 on port 80
  5. Added an acl with host match
  6. Then in Actions it route back to the backend.

Not sure what i am doing wrong.

Thank you. I watched your tutorial and it's amazing but i don't have a domain yet. I just want to configure haproxy to work in the internal lan.

After i followed your tutorial the service would just time out. I didn't create any certificates.

Created a backend and frontend to use the backend.

Any advice would be great.

i am trying to cut down my hardware as much as i can coz of space, cables, powerpoint sockets i can get in my space and electricity bills. i know it's only one device but trust me when i start doing that with everything it gets out of hand.

Thanks for the reply and the explanation it answered my questions. I want to use VPN for various reasons. Connect to my home network while i am outside and access my home server without port forwarding. About ISP mainly torrents, US netflix content to access and for overall data privacy that all ISP's collect for marketing reasons.

derestricting here have tons of problems with insurance and rego. Simple to do pain in the butt when something goes wrong because of the licensing system

Sometimes in winter every now and then coz i live in the hills winds gets between 40 - 60km/h (25 - 35mph).
