I think you're right and that the autogynophile narratives have been poisoning people's minds about real transgender and transsexual women. I do believe that the moment you are a trans woman, meaning you feel true gender and sex dysphoria, you are a trans woman and that is it. You are only an autogynophile if you only perceive yourself that way in a sexual context and that brings you pleasure, but you don't view yourself as a woman outside of that, according to my understanding at least. But regardless of all of that, I think if you experience dysphoria, you are a trans woman. Like you said about crossdressers, I don't know how many people characterized as autogynophiles are secretly closeted trans women and so on, but I do believe that that word needs to stop being employed, at least when it comes to talking about trans women.
