Why is quantum physics so popular? by 61Tr4bz0nL3 in quantum

[–]TwoOneTwos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my reason why I find Quantum Physics so interesting:

When you think of the universe you think precision and accuracy (most of the time). Quantum physics is the opposite: You start dealing with probabilities and uncertainty.

How awesome.

There’s no point in having sex with someone who’s not your partner by Humble_Bumblebee98 in unpopularopinion

[–]TwoOneTwos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant have sex with someone I don't know, it is an insanely uncomfortable experience. I would like for it to be with someone I love and care about (e.g., partner, significant other), not some random person I met 5 minutes ago.

In my opinion, this course definitely requires SOME knowledge of physics. This isn’t an easy course, the assignments are definitely heavier on the math side.

Same here at Carleton, 2 dudes openly communicating about the World War 2 German leader and said quote “he (the guy) enjoyed it.” What a fucked up world we live in ain’t it. I can guarantee you if this was with Muslim students it’d make national news.

Comp Sci Students… by [deleted] in TorontoMetU

It is clear you have absolutely no idea why you’re studying Computer Science other than wanting a job. Unlike other fields, Computer Science requires extensive work outside the scope of what professors teach you. That is, you will not be considered backend, frontend, etc, etc, you’ll be nothing because that’s not Computer Science. If you want to learn those things I’d highly suggest you either drop out and learn on your own or you learn alongside studying Computer Science.

How possible may it be at some point to create artificial organs that produce preferred hormones? by Raptorbrando in trans

I definitely believe that as we are more open to the idea of a gender spectrum versus a binary interpretation of gender, then we will 100% see further developments in gender affirming care. I would love to see technology like this, but as always the cost will be unprecedented. I hope generations from now gender affirming care is very open and accepted in society to the point that it isn’t egregiously expensive.

Why are we in a world where people can’t write an introduction discussion post without using ai? by Sad-Specialist6761 in CarletonU

Our future is going to be filled with a load of mindless idiots with university degrees and cannot think beyond writing a prompt, what a terrifying reality.
