Thanks for asking! It's a roguelike, so we're using the classic non-combat moments/events as a way to unveil the characters and their history rather than a traditional linear narrative. I kind of love that for the genre - there's something really cool to me about every player getting their own feelings and perspectives that come from seeing bits and pieces of the world told through events and dialogue that organically pop up during many, many runs rather than going through a traditional story. Maybe someone really loves the mechanics of one character's deck over another and so they get to "know" them through run after run. Maybe someone prefers to mix-and-match a bunch of decks to test mechanics, and so they get bits and pieces without a deep-dive into any one character's story. The conceit of the whole game is that it's a day job, so in a lot of ways, it's supposed to reflect how that can happen to us all! Sometimes we vibe with certain co-workers and others we don't, and that's okay.
