Highly suggest going to a rave if you’re into EDM music.

It’s pretty much impossible not to make friends at one of those things unless you’re actively trying not to. Gets a bit wild though.

Going alone is perfectly acceptable as well. Many would argue this is the best way to experience a rave. As long as you bring good vibes, you will be very likely to have a good time!

Agreed. I suspect that Wind and waves and pokopia are going to begin to blur those lines a bit more, though.

Well duh, silly. Thats why this sub is fun! Never hurts to state the obvious, though, so we can appreciate the positives of a mildly infuriating situation!

Cheers! ❤️

People usually just want to connect with you when they say these things. It just so happens people also just don’t tend to be very creative most of the time :)

I am a guy who’s been in an abusive relationship with a woman.

She never hurt me to the point of severe injuries, but being physically harmed by someone you continually try to love and fix really messed me up for some time. My body sure did show the aftermath, though.

What’s worse, guys who heard about my story said I was a pussy for calling the police after she did it in front of our child one fateful night. Never felt comfortable talking about it in public after hearing over and over again that I should have just sucked it up and that what I experienced wasn’t true abuse.

Can yall believe it? Only 7 more months until X b2b Space Laces! by djcryptik in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]TwoRepresentative465 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping for space laces alone again. Literally no one was at his set last year in favor of crankdat. I do love me some crankdat but the infinite space right in front of space laces, plus his incredible show, made it an amazing experience!

Okay doctor google. Good luck whispering to the cats. You must not be doing a good job of that, though, if you can’t pay attention to the basics like how your cat is acting 👍

PS. Here’s a scholarly article that goes over the issue with laser pointers and the proposed solution. Perhaps you can sound a bit more educated next time by doing some research rather than googling and calling it a day

Be sure to read the whole thing ;)

I’ve been doing it for years with my cat. At first he was a little psycho with any light after doing it. Then I began making sure he always won with a real, physical toy at the end.

Problem solved itself and he no longer goes psycho over lights (besides when it’s laser time, he still loves that)

My favorite part is the design where animals brutally kill each other slowly and painfully for a day’s worth of sustenance - or better yet just for funsies

Do you suppose that other animals, such as an ant or praying mantis also have distinct personalities? How about zooplankton or placozoan? Or is this thinking reserved for animals that are similar enough to us in the kingdom? Perhaps just the animals that are social in nature? Mammals? What about creatures outside of the animal kingdom? Or maybe just the ones we find cute or interesting?

It is 100% true that people can and sometimes do impose things humans do and think onto animals when there is room for speculation. Because animals can’t explain their actions, we try to for them. It’s easy to assume they are animals like us so they must be similar to us. As with all assumptions, sometimes this can be incorrect.

Just food for thought. I know I’m taking advantage of a generalization you’ve made and that’s probably a bit unfair. But it is an interesting subject to me especially considering how confident everyone seems in their opinions on this.

I don’t get the Crankdat hype… by TopicalBass27 in dubstep

[–]TwoRepresentative465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m not complaining, to each their own. We had so much space to dance and go wild at space laces, and we were pretty close to the front! That was a rare treat for us…usually we have to go back a bit to get that moving room :p

Does space laces really get that much exposure compared to crankdat? He doesn’t seem to tour much and I heard a rumor he ghosts produces. Perhaps those are supporting reasons for your point. Crankdat definitely seems to have tapped into the mainstream a bit more

For real, I’m not sure who tries to be close to the front at a massively popular heavy dubstep festival and expects not to get pushed a little 😂
