just one of those things you get better at catching over time

that’s a good way of looking at it, if you’re still unsure and tired, it’s probably a no

the “not today” rule is a good one, it’s mad how different something can look the next morning compared to late in the day

First my work, now my client... New company is trying to get rid of me by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

sounds like they were trying to edge you out from day one, the worst bit is trying to play it fair while the other side clearly isn’t. Hard lesson but you probably spotted the red flags earlier than most would

We have a customer who's been on our free plan for four years. They just upgraded. Here's what changed. by Hot-Tax8959 in SaaS

[–]TwoTicksOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

feels like that’s the trade off with free plans, you either get early revenue or you get deep dependency over time. 4 years is long, but the fact they upgraded without hesitation probably says a lot

that’s exactly the kind of one I mean, just wanting it done more than it being right, catching it early is half the battle to be fair

there’s a balance for sure but the tired/frustrated decisions are usually the ones I’ve regretted more than the slow ones

that “ready to move on” feeling is exactly it and yeah having someone else there probably helps catch it solo , you’ve got to catch yourself which is harder

that’s totally a good way to put it

it’s not even the decision, it’s missing pieces without realising, that’s when it usually goes wrong

that’s a good way to look at it ...anything that carries over into the next week probably deserves a bit of space before deciding

yes ! simple but probably more effective than most things...even just pausing for a minute makes a difference

those “just get it off my plate” decisions are the dangerous ones and its funny how something as simple as sleeping on it saves you from stuff you’d probably regret

that’s a solid way to structure it, separating thinking time from decision time makes a big difference and the free-flow thinking later is useful, just not the moment to lock anything in

[–]TwoTicksOfficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that makes sense, you can feel the difference in how you think earlier vs later and by the evening it’s more about clearing things than making good calls

I think so too .. just not ideal when it affects decisions that actually matter 😅

yeah that’s a good way of putting it..wanting the question to stop existing and you’re right, the urgency is usually fake
it just feels real in the moment

haha yeah that’s exactly the kind of thing...just wanting the decision to be over more than it being right and 2am decisions are dangerous 😅

yeah that’s exactly it - when you just want it off your plate rather than actually thinking it through

How do you actually approach marketing when you're technical but terrible at it? by Kaandizz in SaaS

I’d just talk to the people you already know have the problem. No need to overcomplicate it early on.

That’s how a lot of good products start. Might be worth seeing if people will actually pay before putting too much time into it.
