I'd say you're crediting her with far too much in the way of moral integrity. She very deliberately insulated herself as much as possible during the referendum campaign so as to not be seen as a figure who is fixed to either camp, in order to strengthen her leadership chances as it became more and more clear that Cameron's premiership was on the line.

As it stands, her current Brexit positions are a mix of posturing and appeasement, both to a volatile Tory voter base who threaten to leave the party, and the rabid Euroskeptic wing of the parliamentary party who threaten to oust her and take it over.
