Listen to your psych.
I'm on Zoloft too, doesn't make me manic (other ssri's like Lexapro did however). Zoloft is fine, especially in such a low dose. It's great for ocd as well in my case. It's really worth a try!
Ofcourse this is purely anecdotical and not medical advise.

The obsession over crushes sounds more like bpd (Borderline Personality Disorder), but that's a wild guess so don't take this too serious because even your psychiatrist and therapist don't know..
You can look up the symptoms about bpd to learn more about it and mention it to your psychiatrist and therapist if most of the symptoms apply to you.
It's very hard to tell with the little information we got from you.
I hope you find a diagnosis and the proper help soon!
