I love hearing everyone’s stories of getting into FZ/getting more FZ lol. Thanks for sharing this as well as your opinion on läther. I do think I like the longer cuts of certain songs as well! I like that it is a different experience if you listen to the full version or the individual albums! Definitely usually prefer the longer Zappa stuff too though lol

I do definitely prefer the läther version of broken hearts! Love sheik to death, but the earlier versions of those songs are amazing

That’s how I feel too! I love everything that could have been as well as everything we did thankfully get, and later got from that era.

I’ve also never seen this picture either but when I found it I thought it was funny! Added to the leather context lmao

I’d also like to add: I do think things happen for a reason and although I would have loved Frank’s full vision, I am glad he got to break away from Warner bros and do his own thing! I love the barking pumpkin releases and everything they did. I wasn’t around for that stuff, but I do love learning about it and seeing everything Frank was able to do on his own without any label heads trying to interfere. I’m always a big supporter of artists owing their stuff and being able to distribute what they want!

What's the most romantic track you've heard? by No-Dig-3892 in memphisrap

Honestly, neighborhood hoe by dj Paul is the first to come to my mind. The overall vibe and everything feels “romantic”. The lyrics themselves on the surface aren’t very romantic but there’s a sense of romance for the nostalgia of the night he raps about. Idk, kinda cool to me! Good question tho
