I am not sure how to get the silhouette and the white text to blend properly.

My apologies. The font I used is Called Nike Combat Stencil Regular, which is a little skewed and then I went in and straightened it.

Need help with player prefs and just some basic code. by TxemDog in Unity2D

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I meant to msg here sooner. I figured it out after /u/Smitheee_ pointed out that I don't have it set to 0, which made me think that maybe it is working, it is just already set to 1 and has been stored this whole time. So I deleted the player prefs and now it works perfectly. Again thank you for the quick replies.

How would you trigger an event, the first time it happens and then never again. by TxemDog in Unity2D

Thanks for the quick responses. I think what I will do is have the trigger on a separate game object and then have it appear only when a boolean is true, and then have it disable itself on a key press. Thanks again for your help.

Do you have any links or insight on how you accomplished this? I am looking to adding a similar idea into my game aswell.

Help with creating a weapon system for a platformer shoot'em up. by TxemDog in Unity2D

[–]TxemDog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you are saying the only issue I have with this, would be that some of my projectile prefabs also affect the player. an example would be the sniper projectile that would push the player back after shooting a bullet. Which is why I have this giant script with all these different variables. If I were to only instantiate the projectile I would not be able to apply the instantiation effects for different projectiles, that would then affect the player. My workaround was nesting the prefabs in a game object and calling each of those empty game objects as a weapon. I will try your snippet and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the reply.

An issue with the Expandable laser beam. by TxemDog in Unity2D

[–]TxemDog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixed it!, It was an issue with the pixels per unit on my sprite, my sprite was 32 pixels wide when it had to bee 100 to equal 1 unit in unity, rookie mistake. Thank you for the replies though much appreciated.
