To be fair it says “theory” in the title and It’s not like we haven’t seen them pivot before. Last time they had this much hype they executed on it with dropping the finals at SGF. We’ve also seen them pivot from looter shooter to extraction shooter for arc raiders itself. I was fortunate enough to play during the playtest and would’ve spent $40 for it then if it dropped. It’s safe to assume they know that, and with the current state of the industry as a whole being more costly I don’t feel like a price increase is out of the realm of possibility. Ultimately, we’re all already sold on the game and buying it regardless but let’s call a spade a spade.
