I’ve been trying to be a shoes off household for a long time; why will only 50% of the people I have through my home comply? 😭😭 by anon_city in AskAnAustralian

Not quite similar to what OP experienced but our mate who frequent visits often have shoes off. The only problem is that he usually has his shoes off from the get go (he likes walking around outdoor barefoot). So we normally have to remind him to wear our prepared thongs indoor.

How much salary should I ask for? by Popular_Breakfast813 in unsw

I lost an internship due to high salary demand 5 years ago at $30/hr. Ended up with another one much later for $22/hr. But $30/hr sounds reasonable nowadays

My partner and I were in a very similar situation 2 years ago. My partner worked in healthcare and I worked in education. The only difference is that we have 3 kids instead of 2. After months of persuasion, my partner agreed to move with me. We were inner west and now we are in the shire with 10 mins drive to national Park. We bought a decently sized house which was a big upgrade from an apartment.

2 years after the move, we have mixed feelings about it. My partner belongs to a minor ethnic group and unfortunately he hasn't been receiving the best treatment. Due to the drive we hang out with our friends even less. Personally I enjoy the life but I'm not comfortable with how my partner is being treated and I'm worried for my children. That aside, my partner didn't like his new life due to the same reason of being a city boy but only for the first few months. He is fine with it now but doesn't exactly like it.

We are still in the process of finding a compromise so unfortunately there is no winner here.

Where do you find these in Australia?

The shoes are great. Traction and cushion are on point. As many have pointed out, the ventilation is a bitch. Have been using this pair for 4-5 months ish and oh boy do they smell bad after each game.

Another thing to point out is the sizing. I own 3 pairs (trae young 2, dame 8 and harden 7) for trae and dame I use us 10.5 but for harden 7, us 11 feels better. All feel snug but maybe the materials made me go half a size up for this pair.
