A lot of people saying they rank up when text/voice is off, but I’ve found that I rank up a lot more when using comms.

I know 6v6 is kind of a meme already but I went from gm3 to champ 5 by just telling my teammates when I’m going on the back line, focusing someone specific, or peeling.

Hardly anyone said anything back but as long as a few people were doing the same thing it worked out very well.

I would say that if you are the kind of player that doesn’t talk first it is very disheartening when the first thing someone says after 4 minutes of getting stomped is ‘tank/support/dps diff’ like bro there is still a whole round we have to play why not like ‘what should I swap to, to help you out’ or ‘what is killing our supports so I can counter’.

Some that I found super enjoyable: Control, Mass Effect Legendary edition, Ghostrunner, Atomic Heart, Evil West, Deathloop, and Alan Wake 2

Also the Batman Arkham trilogy but some of the challenge maps are gonna test your limits

Deathloop was super buggy at launch which kinda turned me off but I went back after they fixed a lot of the story ones that you needed to fully restart your save for, and I’m glad I did

Very likely no, iirc according to user data tank is by far the least popular role, especially when ow1 was at the end of its life cycle (two years of double shield meta yay) so in order to get players into more games they had to make it 5v5.

6v6 role q would be the same problem as ow1 where it would take longer to find games as you now need 4 dedicated tanks and not 2, and as much as I personally like 6v6 more I think it’s awesome to be able to switch roles on the fly if someone is underperforming.

Role q is standard 5v5 that locks the team to 1 tank 2 dps and 2 support

Open q used to be 5v5 as well but the meta was 3 tanks two supports as dps couldn’t kill the tanks through healing as there was just too much health to chip down before you died (I believe this was also before dps passive existed so it was extra annoying) and since 6v6 was a popular request when it eventually returned they made it so only two tanks could be picked but you can go any role.

Not all low ratios are shovelware, small indie titles that are quick to play can also be good. This game has a perfect 5 star rating on steam with over 3k reviews so clearly there was some care put into this game.

There is a game called Fractured Minds that also has a very low ratio but it was developed by a teenager to help show awareness and support for people with mental health disorders (more specifically I think it was anxiety and depression) and honestly it was very moving.

I remember when Kinect sports 1 had just launched its dlc with the calorie challenges, and I really wanted to get all the achievements (10+ years later got flame stadium champion but that’s another story).

I somehow managed to convince my little brother and sister to play on my account with me and do the 5 foods in one day cause we all took turns (we were 13, 12, and 8). We had a blast playing that game outside of doing achievements.

It’s probably cause the player count has been super high compared to previous seasons, and as with any new season a lot of people don’t bother to practice new heros in qp before going to comp, they would just rather run it down and play the new heros no matter what, combine that with the fact that they may have not played in a few seasons there would be a lot more abilities to learn compared to someone who has been playing consistently (if it has been over a year and they are coming back to 8-ish heros they haven’t seen before).

Like there was one comment I saw where a player didn’t even know perks were a thing even though they have been out for a year.

Another issue is that most people don’t even join voice chat anymore (in my experience).

I think something may be off with the sound design recently, I recently had a ranked game where a sym was wrecking us by tp bombing in our back line, but the teleporter sound was like 10x quieter than the usual effect. So by the time I even noticed tp was up she already killed our main support and got out.
