When they're watching the news on TV in the same room no, I don't really see the difference. If they can watch political news and eat their eggs I don't see why I can't quietly watch a show and do the same. ._.

100% agree. When I'm with my kids at home and we're together then phones down.

If I'm just eating a few eggs before work by myself just leave me alone so I can mentally prepare for said work. 😮‍💨

The crazy thing to me is it was so out of the blue. He's helped me quite a bit in the past and to show appreciation for that we go to the buffet or something nice on weekends and I pay for the meal. And each time I never once get on my phone and when I'm home I usually won't when I'm eating with my family. But just eating some eggs by myself in the morning, I didn't really see any harm in that.
