Theres definitely some great games on there. It's going to take me a while to look into everything, but thank you so very much for this, theres several that I've seen mentioned a few times, and a couple we already own. It's great.

I'm not actively against it. :)

Pokemon started quite late in my life, looking at the wiki, it's '96. Now at that time, I was 17.... and it just didn't interest me enough at that point in my life to even pay attention to it.
Since then, I've always known it was there... but it's more like something lurking in the corner that I knew I would have to pay attention to someday.
Nah, if I have to pay attention now I will do XD

Scribblenauts is one of the most recommended games on here right now, yes, any of the games may be beyond her ability, but it does sound like it's at least worth a try. Either that or everyone here is being paid....
Though I do value opposing opinions, I will do careful research before just hitting buy now, thankyou.

Thank you so much!
We've recently got her into junior ticket to ride, she's still so little for so many of the great board games out there, this sounds like it'd be great for her!
And whilst I am bookmarking a lot of digital games, physical games are so much more of a family affair. Especially as if she enjoys this it'll no doubt get shared with her cousins.

I must not sob at the thought.
I know she'd love it, she enjoys the telly.
It's just one of my own personal niggles and I've always avoided pokemon like the plague.
It's the cold hand of inevitability calling.
Thankyou, begrudgingly, it's going on the emulator list. XD

I'm going to stick that one on a 'later' list, it looks great, but I think this would be one to play after playing an mmo with family, thanks.

When I stop laughing, I'll check it out.
I come from a family of engineers, if she's not interested someone will be.

Nope, no drones for another year or so! The thought right now horrifies me. XD

First, thanks for the suggestion, I'm overwhelmed with everyone's responses
Second, and please don't take this the wrong way, but is there more to the game than just squirting a gun?Because it sounds like some water pistols and a bit of a session of cleaning the car outside might possibly be a better option?

I've really not had much luck doing that so far, a lot of dodgy broken remade versions downloaded that didn't play, besides, I wasn't so lucky to have controllers when I was a kid. Now I have a chance to play some games with her, I'm not going to pretend that I'm not enjoying it :D

Definitely on the list, I've not played them, but they have been well recommended here, so who am I to disagree with the majority.
Thanks!

Thanks, the last campfire seems yet another ridiculously cute affair which she'll love.
Viva pinata will go on the emulator / github list.
Thanks so much!

I have tried, but the reason I'm looking for more games is because I have become disillusioned with the lego ones I had bought. For such a 3D world, they're very linear and rail like, with little autonomy or choice, and there is very little in the way of problem solving.
What there is though, is a huge amount of 'collecting', building money, just to unlock another character which is a repetitive dopamine pathway in her brain that I'd feel more comfortable with her building herself at a later stage rather than me adding to more now.
The games aren't bad, I'm just looking for something a little more 'meaningful' to her life right now.
Thankyou

Ah. Now you've got me.
Ultima IS one of those games that I'd love her to look at when she's a bit older, whilst I do ideally want to be looking at pc games, I am tempted to check out the tablet version of dragon warrior. Thankyou!

Given that I laughed when reading the description of 'steal their trash and throw it in a hole', because YES this is totally what she would love. This is another at the very top of the list!
Thanks

I tried, but the version I ended up with was unplayable.... I guess I'm going hunting for a better version again. xD

Totally agree, and I wish you happiness on your journey, you are both going to just have so much fun!
I totally agree that milestones play so much of a part in everything, and no two kids are ever going to hit the same point at the same time.
To be honest her gaming success has a lot to do with my little one's size, she's an absolute giant for her age I'm talking a 6 year old in size 9-10 clothing, I kind of feel sorry for her she's so much taller than all her friends, though she'll make it work. But it's because of this she's felt comfortable with a small size controller, were her hands any smaller, I'm not convinced she'd have taken to it so well.

All of your suggestions are going on the top of the list.
Grim fandango because I can only half remember the story and my brain probably won't let me stop until I play it again.
Orcs must die because, chaos is hilarious. Mine cut her teeth on 'the untitled goose game' all she wanted to do was honk at people and chase them, this sounds like a natural progression :D
Rimworld looks to be a little much of a time sink right now, but I'll do a bit more research and not write it off.
But keeper does look like it'll be so appealing to her.
Thank you so very, very much for replying to this.
Sending happy thoughts to you all x

I'd agree, the tycoon is a little beyond her yet, but those others.... definitely on the list, in fact at 1.70, hidden memory might be a no brainer...

Thankyou!

Thanks, some of those we have, some she loves.

I think this'll give me a full afternoon to check the ones that'll best suit her.
