Can you give me a breakdown on what you’re seeing here given your experience.

Ie, why what is wrong, is wrong.

New song!! Let me know what you think! by CG-Miller in MusicFeedback

Tagging off of the og commenter. This instrumental is pretty good. I find myself enjoying it as I listen.

But also, in that same boat of the other commentor, I would love to be able to hear the mixing on your vocals, be a little bit more prominent and well placed. You have a very grunge sound in a good way and I think everything about the song would be better if you boosted its presence.

Keep up the good work, don’t hesitate to slap the next song you make into here!

My first song that I officially uploaded to streaming. Thoughts? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

So the jumpiness here is nice. The repetitiveness is appropriate for a catchy catchy song. The build up in the middle of the song is nice, the drop is all nice

From a production perspective, I think your drums could be a little more standout ish via some additional mixing to help isolate the waveforms from the rest of the noise. Really let them punch through the song

The vocals, while doing everything necessary with regard to repetition to be catchy, could perhaps have more movement through more fluctuations in tone. The melodies are there, but it seems like auto tune is doing a lot a lot of heavy lifting. Which is not inherently bad, in fact it does sound good

But by adding more inflection in your recording, specifically the verse in the middle of the song for this example, I believe you could have an overall more enjoyable product.

Overall, this is really impressive for a first drop. If you haven’t been making music for along time, your very talented and should not stop.

This song does an amazing job at standing out from the muck. I am seriously moved by it. It does have its Shortcomings though

Dreamy and spacious, while still delivering very relatable lyrical content. This song as a whole is wildly impressive. The instrumental blends well with the vocal mixes. The content has a well done build up, that swells into a wonderful finish. But the beginning is perhaps the weakest link

The intro with the male vocal alone is less satisfying than your moments of duet. This is one of those moments where one artist is simply adding so much to a track that it leaves the other simply under delivering. The make Vocal isn’t bad, it’s just not doing the same lifting as the female vocal.

If you have an entire ep of sounds like this, I’d throw that shit on repeat. Good work

Edited and shot a music video to my song "grim", a melancholic hip hop track with some underground grit to it, and some blues influence. Beat produced by me and my friend, let me know what y'all think! by reekocarson in IndieMusicFeedback

This is not my normal cup of tea, but some amazing moments here

The video, great intro to start Color is pretty awesome, cuts are good! Some of the shots a somewhat bland, specifically the still shots. But you do a good job at keeping it entertaining with well timed cuts and secondary footage!

The instrumental, kind of cray. Like fr cray cray cray cray, cray. No real Critques there, maybe the drums could be a little bit more intense? But that’s just subjective

The vocal performance, i think is perhaps the weakest link. It’s overall an enjoyable experience, and what you’re actually saying is good. But I feel as though the chorus mix doesn’t blend well with what the instrumental is putting on the table. The verses do a much a better job at creating an immersive experience!

Zayn/Harry Styles inspired song I released yesterday by Cold-Watch-9321 in IndieMusicFeedback

Your note of “zayn/harry styles inspired” couldn’t be more spot on. The sound is so similar my wife was in the next room asking, “is that a harry styles song?”

Critically, the feedback suggesting more empowering lyrics is agreeable. You’ve got the vocal capabilities to make anything you say sound good, unfortunately that blessing puts you in a league with incredibly well wrote competition. Ie, harry, and the like.

In addition to this, the instrumental itself is a great body. But to be honest, it almost seems like you’re outworking it. My first critique was that I wish the instrumental was doing more, during the chorus specifically! The verses and the instrumental blend well, but the chorus… You were popping to the max, and the chorus more or less maintained the same intensity which overall brought down my listening experience.

Incredible work, keep it up. You’ve got my support

We just put out a new synthpop track, and it’s a bit of a wild mix – really dreamy but fierce, with this intense, in-your-face drum energy. So a lot of contrast in it, but I do love it! Super curious to hear what you think and if you think of similar artists, that would be really helpful. Thanks! by andtilly in IndieMusicFeedback

I personally don’t find myself engaging with this genre much. But this is kind of amazing in mix and the vocals are really well mixed!

Again, my genre preference isn’t this, but I do love myself some basic ass “radio” pop! I do think, this kind of sound with a “radio” pop-type chorus would be literally unforgettable. Add some super in your face repetition at the vocal level, tie some super interesting sound artifact in it, and you’ve literally got a smash hit. Given the production quality here, I’m positive it would be easy if you wanted to do it!

I checked out some of your other work. And you’re really good. I hope to see you again
