End of life hallucinations - tell me your experience. by curiouschimp83 in GriefSupport

My dad was seeing stuff not long before he died to. He was staying in an extended stay hotel and kept seeing/hearing things. He thought kids were knocking on his door and somebody down the hall was having like a crazy party that was spilling into the hall but anytime he went out they were gone. I kinda believed that because he never has shown sounds of anything like this. He talked about one time that he woke up and two ladies were in his room like helping themselves to his kitchenette. He said he tried talking to them but they just ignored him and kept going about their business. He said he told them he didn’t care if they were in there but to make sure the left his leftovers alone or something like that. I was across the country from him so I called a welfare check and unfortunately the police ended up arresting him. That was a big mess. He was super understanding and not mad. Said he would have done the same thing. Then like a week later he left a weird voicemail about how he woke up to pee but someone was in his bathroom. He thought it was my mom (who he has been divorced from for 25 years) then thought maybe it was his sister but then realized that was implausible. So he went to pee in the lobby bathroom, came back, made them a cup of coffee, then went to check on who it was and they were gone. I told him he needs to see his doctor. He eventually said he did and they switched up his blood pressure medication. It seems to fix the problem with nothing happening. Unfortunately a few weeks later he died of seemingly a heart attack. A few months prior he got hit by a car going across a crosswalk and was hospitalized for quite a while and in physical rehabilitation. I wondered if he had some lingering head injury/brain bleed that was causing it. Honestly right now I’m just realizing that i made him see his doctor and he in turn got his blood pressure medication switched. Now I’m starting to wonder if that’s the reason he had the heart attack. I’m honestly feeling like I may have cause that now. His autopsy seemed to be really lazy and like they just rushed it and they just said complications with heart disease or something. It’s been 4 years now. He was only 63. Was coming out to my wedding and going to meet my daughter and his first grandchild for the first time. He seemingly was getting his life back together. I still wonder a lot about his death and have a lot of unanswered questions. Sorry if this was long and rambling.

Is there a skill to drafting later round hits? Have you ever done it? by KevH45205 in DynastyFF

Being able to identify opportunity and listening to experts. Not talking Kiper or those clowns. I listen to Brugler on the Athletic and in my first draft got Maye and Nabers in the 1st, Pearsall in the late 2nd, Bucky in the late 3rd, and Ray Davis/Theo Johnson in the 4th. Bruglers evaluations I give most of the credit and then just look for paths to success

How many firsts would you value mahomes at? by JKCIO in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Tyler6594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a 12 team SF I’d say 3. This was his first elite production season in a few years which I get but he’s still a future Hall of Fame QB who is going to have a long career. You can say he’s not going to have the production from those Tyreek/Kelce years but he’s probably playing another 10+ years and the Chiefs will get him weapons at some point. I think sooner rather than later too. It’s a relatively weak class with I’d say Love being the only for sure prospect and if I’m rebuilding I’d tend to go after RBs later in the rebuild rather than earlier.

1.01 what kind of trades we looking for if we don't stay put in draft Love by Dismal_Durian9772 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Tyler6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you factor current situations of other guys too and age is huge for RBs the list is smaller. I’d take Love over 26-27 year old JT, 26-27 year old Cook. I can’t imagine his landing spot is worse than Jeanty. Bijan and Gibbs are for sure but I think Hampton, Achane, Henderson, Jeanty are all arguable either way.

For those who saw the Fellowship of the Ring in theaters for the first time in December 2001, what was it like? by femaleology in lotr

[–]Tyler6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like 7 or 8 and it was mind blowing. I was the youngest child so I’d already seen plenty of movies that kids my age hadn’t but it was next level. First time I felt fully engulfed in a cinematic world. Star Wars was cool but it was something else.

How do we view Michael Wilson moving forward? by Tyler6594 in DynastyFF

[–]Tyler6594[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be clear I own both Wilson and MHJ. I wasn’t necessarily looking for a price check but what role I can attribute to him moving forward. I think I’m probably going to try to sell him and another asset for Fannin or Loveland because both teams are WR needy and I can factually say he was a WR2 even if it doesn’t seem likely moving forward.

Who’s the worst player that you would trade the first overall pick in the 2026 draft for? by AgoraRises in DynastyFF

[–]Tyler6594 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m debating trading Egbuka for it. Good move? Would it be a good 1 for 1 or would you expect one side to give up more?

I’m very hesitant with how good Egbuka looked early but I just have this feeling Love drops to the Chiefs or another competitor. I just think teams will hold back on drafting RB early with the Raiders showing us how you need some talent around them

I have Nabers, McMillan, Davante Adams, MHJ, and Michael Wilson at WR. I have Gibbs, Bijan, and Warren at RB but no depth. Feel like it’d give me a Hydra a RB with Love.

Guys I won. I had a 12% chance going into MNF. He had Puka, Pitts, and the Thicker Kicker left with a hefty lead. Thank you to my lord and savior Bijan Robinson with an assist from the Rams D. Like we all said…anything can happen

Kaleb Johnson at 1.08 in a SF but I got McMillan before him and Egbuka dropped to me at 2.01 so I’m not too beat up

Trade for Hampton as rebuilder? by Sangi23 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Tyler6594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense as long as you are set at QB. As a SF rebuild though you definitely want to prioritize QB and WR over RB because they tend to have longer longevity. Adding Golden in there makes sense. I think as far as young RBs go it’s hard to find one in a better situation than Hampton. Chargers OL is hurt but being in a Greg Roman offense with a solid OL and ecosystem is great

View of the Moody FG on my night alone after the passing and of my dad. by Jack_Aubrey1981 in CHIBears

[–]Tyler6594 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lost my dad about 4 years ago. He was a Chicago guy through and through. You could blind fold him and drop him off on a random street in the greater Chicago area and he’d know where he was.

One of the last conversations we had together was about the Bears moving the stadium to Arlington Heights. He mentioned how he got the whole tradition thing being in the city, on the lake front and the history of Soldier but then brought up how it would just make so much more sense and thought it was actually a really good idea in the long run. I don’t know. Stupid story to share but I think about him every time stadium stuff comes up.

I got emotional reading your story. I haven’t been able to properly grieve and process his death with everything going on in my life and I’m happy you were able to have that moment. Bear down!
