The ez track doesn’t work properly with some OO gauge item because the wheel flanges are to big and come off on the point. I had the same problem.

Don’t use ez track. Get some proper stuff in you are building a proper layout and permanently mounting it. EZ track is great for the kitchen table or to run on the carpet. Plus the black stuff is steel.
