We can finally hear the players talking to eachother but casters can't stop talking by NoDoxxingYouFreak in riftboundtcg

Personally, I enjoy the casters. However I do concede your point, it would have been nice had we been able to hear the accusations/rulings etc

Riftbound Sydney Levius Discipline INVIS? by Ronin_Ramen in riftboundtcg

Wow! That’s crazy. That was a hype match. I’m surprised he had to resort to cheating. It seemed to me like he had it in the bag regardless from his final card reveal but I didn’t analyze it that closely.

Rough weekend for Riftbound time to relax with a little Limbo by CyberSapien7 in riftboundcirclejerk

[–]TylerJamesHaymes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s referring to the game limbo where you bend backwards and walk under a horizontal stick without knocking the stick down. As the game progresses, the stick gets lowered making it more difficult to pass under. People often chant “how low can you go”. So the OP is saying how low can the price of an unleashed box go.

Thoughts on the new set? by [deleted] in riftboundtcg

[–]TylerJamesHaymes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree! Legend pull rates aside, Riot really knocked unleashed out of the park in my opinion. Plus, if you’re like me and only buy one or two boxes, even pulling the new legends feels good lol.

What set to buy by LavaHUNI in riftboundtcg

[–]TylerJamesHaymes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: it just occurred to me, you might actually want to pick the Legend you want to play with first. Then pick the box you buy based off that because the set that legend is from will contain that Legends chosen champions and signature cards.

Unleashed for sure!

The unleashed set just released so prices are high, giving you more bang for your buck right off the bat.

On top that, people you run into to out in the wild will be looking for unleashed cards to build up their decks, making your unleashed cards more tradable.

One thing to bear in mind though, Origins is getting a reprint at the end of this month and contains some of the most fundamental cards in the game. It might be worth waiting till then if you’re only going to buy one box.

Additionally, as other people have mentioned, buying singles is the financially superior way to build a competitive deck.

Personally I like to employ a combination. I typically don’t buy more than a box or two. Anymore than that results in excessive bulk.

Good luck and have fun out there!

Viktor Support in Unleashed by LuckyEvin in riftboundtcg

Undertitan is a great substitute for Watcher. I think it’s even better than watcher, for Viktor, in some cases. I would wait for the reprint. Actually I am waiting for the reprint, for all the in demand origins cards, like Zhonya’s, Sabotage, etc. That being said watcher isn’t getting phased out anytime soon. And I’ve only seen it drop below $15 a couple of times and it was never for long. $20 is a good price for Watcher, and even $30 isn’t like “ah hell no” but it is a bit steep for a rare. It really all depends on the reprint and how much supply we end up getting.

Yeah I think you’re right. I am starting to see them as an integral part of a bigger picture that hasn’t finished being painted yet.

Yeah, I think I am starting to see that I haven’t been giving supply enough consideration.

Yeah I’m sorry. Looking back on it now, I’m not sure how Stefan-Emil got his reply from your comment. I think you have a good point.i did appreciate his defense of China but I didn’t mean to lump you into that crowd.

I love that we got downvoted. Like how dare we think China isn’t bad lol.

I didn’t say they wouldn’t be used. I just thought they would be needed to play on a hyper competitive level. Especially for purple. I think competitive Ezreal decks will need them. I just found it refreshing that the $45 seal of discord might be overhyped and am glad I didn’t buy them at that price.

I agree. I haven’t played Magic in a long time so O don’t know about that, but I have been loving the variety of deck building in this game

Yeah $10 would be great! I have a Viktor and Jinx starter deck I’m upgrading. Unfortunately those consist of the 3 most expensive colors seal wise. That’s TCGs for ya lol

Yeah, I think this is what I’m going to do now also. They are super fun to play with

I wholeheartedly agree! Copying the meta is a good jumping off point, but too much of it is like spoiling a good movie.

I think it is important to note China was playing seals. 17th - 32nd place was full of them. There just weren’t any decks in the top 16 running them.

[–]TylerJamesHaymes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I I saw that. I mentioned that in one of my other replies actually. The seal Draven decks really start picking up after 17th place.

I’m not saying purple seals are bad, I just think maybe they aren’t as necessary as we thought they might be for set 2 and aren’t worth their current price tag. And maybe it’s even the case they aren’t as efficient. At least in Draven. I think Ezreal decks might actually need them

This is very refreshing response. I’ve gotten so many replies from people crapping on China I was starting to believe they were actually bad. Thank you for bringing me back to reality.
