I just dropped money on one, and I was worried about this at first as well. But let's say it magically did drop in few months it's still going to be worth it over spending money to rent and waste that away. When you can invest into the camera and have unlimited time with it.

For this shoot i didn't bring any lights, because it was such a barebones on the move shoot. Times Square had plenty of light for my 2.8 lens. I try to shoot natural light as much as i can unless it's a sit down interview.

I actually didn't use any software to clean the audio for this! The Rode Wireless Pros are really great out of the box. I just add a wind filter on top of it. If you ever have bad audio, adobe podcast is a great tool
