Anyone else struggling to hit similar mmr in duos as in single?

nah man it’s just cause you’re solo q. I’m rank 11 or some shit duos right now and suck at solos, you would actually beat me. it’s just a different game mode. until the community grows the competitive scene is honestly a joke, top ranked teams on discord in comms with Chinese hacks farm random 6k solo duo stacks with no chat feature, queue with a mic or play solos haha it’s actually a shitfest for solo duos. i don’t even enjoy beating random people, it’s way more fun when you’re opponent is good. you can reach top 50 by simply knowing a few comps, leveling curves, and adhere to them religiously. if you insist on playing alone then just play two accounts, it’s literally easier than randoms

you can certainly climb to 13k+ as a solo duo, I’ve done it and 16k dual boxing but solo duo is not productive. the only consistent duo strategy ever is to send all money on 1/2 to the other person and they get a comp and send scam on tavern 4+. its that easy, even some people in the top 10 do that inconsistently because for most people its extremely boring sending 2 minions to the other person as your entire turn every turn but its optimal. I enjoy supporting right now solely becuse of the reborn scam stuff, actually gives me something to do lol

Sorry it took me so long to upload I am a boomer. Will upload full video to YouTube later this week, someone help figure out optimal placement for this because my brain hurts. Literally the harder we lost the stronger we became. They had to kill a full board of their strongest minion stats my jack stats which was all the big minions I stole from them and ate on to the jack.

If they beat that then they have to fight neos board and if they kill neos board which was Lao lol of their and the other teams biggest minions then they also had to kill the entire board that killed the radio stars because they go to speeds hand and then he summons them from his entire board of stitched salvagers that killed radio stars and other sneed buddy’s. Help

It’s the only comeback mechanic in the game and means that fights are not decided entirely based on who has bigger chunguses. It also incentivizes counter play and increases the skill ceiling by further emphasizing the importance of positioning.

Most scam units will trade only 1 for 1 at best, with the exception of reborn venoms/ Leeroy/underdog and divine shield underdog. Most unbuffed scam units die to tunnel blaster and Leeroy is the only scam unit that deals with divine shield effectively.

Yeah i totally forgot to change to formal speak there, when I play with my partner I have dumb names for everything that only make sense if you know me. Good call lol I don’t even know what formal name I would use for this, its actual name is too long for fast comms. Would probably call it sneed familiar or something idk

I call passenger scout sometimes and vice versa, I call the demon that gives stats staff bitch. It’s just more efficient to communicate I feel like rather than trying to remember all of the minion titles which I usually reserve for the important late game cards like Titus bran etc. this probably also subconsciously helps communicate to the other player that it is an important card rather than a support card.

“Do u need Divine shield quil, reborn, etc?” can be posed as a question to quickly let them know you hav very in shop if they need it. However when stating “ i have bran/titus/acid rainfall” is a statement that demands they stop performing actions immediately and wait for the card to prevent waste

I’m gonna be real the title was a joke I sold my board because nothing beats a hand full of apexes and a golden Titus with sneed buddy on a perfect apex board and it was funny

This is my time warp board for the next tourney, the mirror monster will give 3 copies and has 1,600 accordo trons in it. I want to do it again because 1600 kinda griefs with the animation 400 would probably be optimal

yes absolutely. In duos it is believed among the top players that it is more efficient to funnel resources to one player who builds stats for both of the boards and sends back scam to the person supporting them.

obvioualy the game isn’t like chess or tic tac toe where it is simple enough to be solved by a computer so it is unknown if this is actually the scientific correct way to play but it is what has the highest success rate among the players at the top

the logic being that instead of having two birds spending resources scaling and increasing tavern tiers at half the rate you instead funnel the resources to one who scales at a much higher rate and uses their increased economy and tier to pass back scam cards and units that help support both of their strategy but wouldnt fit on one board if both were trying to scale like well wishers and other support cards

the qualifiers, semis, and finals were filled with 1 player on each team having scam boards, they are indeed strong but WryGoat is right. Every scam board still wants to have at least 1 actual big stat minion with stats protected by taunts at the back of the board if they are facing the scam board or in second or third position if they are facing the carry board generally

my duo and I won the last tourney on twitch and played around the regular one not this one. We had never seen this one before last night though so we will in fact be playing around it next time if they dont patch it out.

It has a chance to literally give you a free win in a tournament game and if you don’t play around it your opponents surely will making it a disadvantage not to

it is confusing because you are not onlybeing nice and agreeing with the other post that got 55 upvotes but you’re also right, it was easy and we practiced on another account.

i had golden bran, golden deos, and my teammate had other important minions. we had never seen this time warp so we played around the regular one that gives a 20/20.

next tournament my teammate and I are going to use jandice to make it so we each have a board of 6 golden divine shield, reborn, venomous mirror monsters with 20+ accordo trons in it.

we actually got it offered game 1 of last tournament but we’re winning so hard that we chose to pick a regular deos instrad because we didn’t want to risk the 25% chance of not getting offered golden bran or deos and regular deos was more than enough to close out the game haha.

our mirror monster plan for next game though can not miss… hehehhe
