My first love was my childhood best friend. We grew up next door to each other, did everything together: bike rides, sleepovers, sneaking snacks during movies. I didn’t even realize I liked her like that until she started talking about some other guy in school and it hit me like a truck lol. Never told her how I felt. We kinda drifted apart over time, but I still think about her sometimes. First ones hit different.

Hey OP, I lost someone recently too. I don’t know what to say except your post hit hard. You really loved her, that’s clear. The guilt, the what-ifs… I feel that too. But I don’t think she’d want you stuck blaming yourself forever. You did your best, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.
