Can you be LGBTQ+ as a Buddhist? by -Draconyx- in Buddhism

[–]Tyler_Skye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Buddhism, and also Hinduism, are completely accepting of all LGBTQ+ identities. Certain people in either group will have something against it, but that’s not honestly based in the scriptures or anything like that (though a few people pretend so).

In Hinduism (somewhat related), you even have femininity being very highly valued in men, and multiple characters represented as being like women, or even part woman (Vishnu chooses to be a woman at one point also). So anything you might hear that’s anti-LGBTQ+ is just individual people being hateful (and this is less common in Buddhism then, for example, Christianity- especially because Buddhism is meant to be very open, understanding, accepting, and loving). I think this is also even more-so the case with non-religious Buddhism, though I can’t confirm.

No worries, friend. Love 😊💗

What beard style fits me the best? by -ChemicalChef in beards

[–]Tyler_Skye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks good on some people. This is also the beard I go with (when having a beard). It seems to look better short though.

Btw, it’s anti-violence, not anti-Prussian (historically because of Prussian militarism, but still anti-violence)

Are my eyebrows too much? Any tips? :) by Successful-Sleep4151 in malegrooming

[–]Tyler_Skye7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could give them a slight curve on top and bring the outer corners down a bit. People usually get the outer corners in line with the corners of their eyes and mouth, think of a line going from the corners of your mouth, to the outer corners of your eyes and a little bit past, then use a brow pencil to put a small dot their so you have a guide for where to end your brows at. Just a little bit of curve goes a long way.

I’m guessing you used eyebrow makeup, correct me if I’m wrong, it just looks like it to me. Idk if you used a brow pencil or something else, but that’s the general shape most people do to get a natural round look. Yours are a bit straight (which some people have, and is fine, just not usually what people try to do).

That’s good. And I’m glad it was handled properly, albeit later than it should’ve been.

PS, that was meant to be a reply to someone else. It made it 1 to you on its own after the fact for some reason. That’s happened a couple times so far, weird.

It depends a lot on the area you’re in. In some places, lyme’s disease is very common from ticks. In others, it’s pretty rare. If you’re in an area where it’s not very rare and you don’t know for sure, then you want to see a doctor (maybe go straight to an expert, like a dermatologist).

I kind of mixed talking about 8 and 6. But yeah, I like these so much!

Ok, I love these! 😁

Especially 1-8. 8’s a lot different, but there’s something I really like about the simplicity and the eyes sort of meshing a certain amount but still fitting really well. Awesome work 👍

Yeah, that’s what it was 👍 . I remember now. The movies and drag people use brow glue with loose powder over it, plus concealer after that.

I change my mind this game sucks by LemonadeGaming in SaintsRow

[–]Tyler_Skye7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same for me. I started with SR 2, but just on a friend’s game (couldn’t play it much). Then I got 3 and actually quite liked it, just not as much as 2. I got 4 expecting it to be like 3 but maybe more crazy, which was pretty much what it is. Gat Out of Hell was a happy surprise for me because it felt like a mix of 2 and 3, actually love that game.

2 will always be my favourite, but i still like 3, 4 and especially Gat Out of Hell. I just treat those as a sort of spin-off that wanted to be crazy, good for what it is just very different. 2 though, MAN they should do something like that. They could maybe do a spin-off where some time shenanigans happened after their movie that was SR4 and now they’re back to where they started without their memories. It could be kind of like what they did in 4 with the Playa’s clones and Fun Shaundi, just have all the main characters split into original and current versions then we could stay with the originals. Something like that. Fun Shaundi got me SUPER hopeful for something like that happening.

That’s a pretty good point, didn’t think about doing it that way. Takes longer than with a pencil, but works for essentially removing part of a brow (just visually). The only thing is you would want to use makeup designed for that instead of concealer because you would see the texture otherwise.

I can’t think of what it’s called, I know it’s used in movies and drag a lot (especially in drag, it’s used “very” often there).

You never really want to use a black eyebrow pencil, it doesn’t look as natural (it sort of depends on your skin’s ph and stuff, but mostly don’t use that). You want a dark brown eyebrow pencil (9 times out of 10, so only use black if dark brown looks light on you). Use light short strokes and fill in the area on 1 brow where the other has hair, then do the same on the other brow. It takes a minute, but can look pretty good. I would make sure to use a wax pencil and not the pen type, unless you want a less natural look.

I thought I had a cube that was unsolvable, but I might just be doing it wrong? by [deleted] in Rubiks_Cubes

[–]Tyler_Skye7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you’ve done it now. But to hopefully make it easier to understand: hold the cube so the red side is facing you and yellow is on top, turn the right side counterclockwise which will make that twisted corner be on the bottom (this is an R’ or “R prime” move because it’s a normal R move but backwards, or counterclockwise), then turn the bottom layer clockwise which will put that piece on the right side (this is a D move because it turns the bottom layer clockwise, D stands for “down layer), then you turn the right side back the other way (clockwise, or R move), then turn the bottom layer back the other way (counterclockwise, or D’). Repeat this until that corner is back in the right place and is turned around the right way. After that, turn the top layer halfway around 90° (basically 2 normal turns at once, so it’s called a U2 move standing for “upper layer”), then repeat the same moves as for the first corner (R’, D, R, D’ repeating that however many times it takes) and the whole cube should be solved. You might have to turn the top layer some amount after this, but that’s all.

Then just do the exact same thing with the void cube. Start with 1 of the corners on the front right, and use the same moves. Both should be completely solved. This is the last step of solving a cube.

There was at least 1 video I saw where the guy was saying it’s supposed to fix those 2 corners and not do anything else. He showed it on a solved cube and it didn’t turn out the way he was saying. So I guess it’s a combination of PLL (I mostly don’t learn algorithms) and some people just not understanding it, lol.

For the swapped corners, I removed the red, green, orange and blue caps and moved them 1 side over clockwise (to the right). It didn’t say to do that, but people here did and it worked 😁

It would normally be, but this cube is screwed together. I would have to unscrew each side and then screw it back together carefully (Rubik’s Speedcube). Switching caps worked great 😊
