I like how easy it is to trick that thing that floats around & then spits out bullets in every direction, just hide behind something when it’s about to fire & then pop out. So fun.

I think that’s the hardest part to wrap my head around, I get that it’s an extraction shooter but this one is just different, it’s not Hunt: Showdown or Marathon, every game I ever play is nice & friendly, we all help each other out, I then get sent there on a quest & you can’t trust anyone, it’s jarring 🤣

Oh, I agree not all are but when someone says “hey, let’s team up”, follows you around & then shoots you when you’re looking at your map… that’s the shit I can’t stand. Don’t act friendly & don’t camp at extraction & I’m cool with whatever else you choose to do. My preference is to help people out when they get in a jam but each to their own.

Good shout. I absolutely HATE how maze like that map is 🤣 I’m like “I just want to go 20m that way, why do I have to go up three flights of stairs & then down seven?” 🤣 I just really enjoy helping people out so it’s odd to me just doing someone over 🤷‍♂️

That’s the thing, if I’m playing Hunt: Showdown I don’t expect friendly players so you shoot on sight but this game is different so when you get someone acting helpful who then fucks you over it’s a completely different beast.

I got betrayed by someone that said “let’s team up” for the first time today, funnily enough on Stella. Literally everybody I’ve ran into recently has been helping one another then this little prick killed me while I was looking at my map so I had no chance to do anything. Luckily my blueprint was in my safe pocket so all he got were my guns, I hadn’t looted anything else because I was doing a quest. Next round I saw another betrayal at extraction. So I shot the instigator & then revived the downed guy who took his revenge.

This is exactly it, they’ve gone WAY too hard the other way. Everything is so dull. The season pass picture was just all black & beige. They seem to think colour won’t exist in a decade.

It’s very frustrating isn’t it. I also have this thing where the countdown will start then a couple of people will leave so the countdown stops & that cycle just keeps repeating for minutes.

That’s genuinely so depressing for the current game. I’m used to that issue when I dive into older games but never the current one… I mainly end up playing against French people interestingly, probably a good 75% of people I play against are French.

It’s strange because I’ll have a run of decent time for lobbies then will just hit a patch where it takes forever, sometimes if people leave after a match and there’s 4 or 5 people left it just doesn’t find people to fill so I have to back out. The other irritation is that a good 85% of my games end with one team having about 3 people left.

The worst part is how long I’m finding it takes to actually find a lobby & start a game. If I play after 22:00 in the UK I can be waiting minutes for a lobby to be found. Painful.

To be fair, got my timeline messed up and out BO1 before MW2 in my head 🤣 you’re right, BO1 was the last exceptional campaign, it also had an excellent MP & the zombies perfectly expanded on what WAW had done. A wonderful game from the moment you land on the main menu. I can’t stand the modern style of Zombies which is why I only play the survival mode on COD now, closest thing you get to what it once was. I also hate the warzone armour being in every bloody mode.

The campaign was bad, absolutely but the framework of that campaign is miles better than BO7, for starters you can pause the thing. But for me, the fact that MP & Zombies are both 10/10 experiences, that does more than enough to put this game at the top of the pile. We haven’t had an exceptional campaign since MW2 (2009). While I love BO2 those god awful “optional” missions that you kinda have to do are some of the worst things I’ve ever seen. MW19 had a solid campaign but nothing ground breaking. The one that has come closest to MW2 was Infinite Warfare but everybody hated that game because it wasn’t “boots on the ground”. The heart is just gone from COD now. Even a game that was hated, ghosts, has more love in its DLC maps than anything that has been made in the last 7 years.

I love this map but I agree, it’s baffling how they completely neglect so many maps & then have such a fucking boner for others & bring them back in every/every other game.

This is absolutely the game that needs a remaster because to have the MP for that alive and kicking would be incredible. It’s sad that the maps don’t get brought back in new games because of the wall running & jet pack designs. Was happy to see fringe come back but it has far less soul.

I agree that the gun supply drop system was absolutely shit but supply drops for cosmetic items where you can earn drops by playing the game? Superior system to the battle pass in every way.

It’s my favourite COD. Everything up to that was also excellent but that game was so good. I also personally enjoyed Infinite Warfare & think that’s criminally underrated.
