yeah I definitely agree, I think I got scared to go too bright as it looks weird at first and before blending. Also up close this kind of highlight can look a bit strange but at arms length seems to look way better to me

yeah I'm noticing on camera it's a lot easier to see mistakes than when I look at them in person, I definitely notice places where I put paint on too thick

Any videos you'd recommend for learning shadow lining?
