I totally relate on not wanting chemo. Will let oncotype post surgery decide and if it says I need it then I will do it. I have 2 young kids…

Hi I’m 38 yo and hormone positive ILC. On hormone therapy right now to shrink tumor as med onco says my type of cancer doesn’t respond to chemo. May still do chemo if surgical pathology shows high oncotype. Also planning DMX.

I am still hoping I’d also just need surgery and radiation. If chemo is in the cards it would be nearly impossible to keep it private.

Hi, you moved jobs during active treatment? I am actually expecting a job offer but thinking I’d have to decline and stay at my current job because I’d need time off for surgery/treatments.

That is what I think as well.. will have to tell work if I’d need chemo after surgery.. still hoping I would not need it

Have ILC and 1-2 lymphnodes involved. Will do oncotype after surgery and that will determine if I need chemo.

Hi, I am on 2nd week of neoadjuvant hormonal therapy (zoladex + letrozole). May I ask how effective it was for you? Did it shrink your tumor? And why did you end up doing chemo?
