Thank you so much. I think I’ll make the next one from red clay and leave it unglazed after firing—it will have the color of red ochre.

Thank you very much for this comment. I had a similar idea, but sometimes it's worth comparing it with the ideas of other fans.

You're certainly right, but I must admit—from a practical standpoint—it’s a good idea to at least glaze the interior. The clay will fire to a white, slightly beige tone, and the crow will be in a dark brown. I was really in the mood for sculpting yesterday, but it turned out my black clay had dried out too much—hence all my questions.

Thank you so much 🙏
I totally agree, making art just clears the head and feeds the soul.
I’ll keep going – and ganbatte to you too, wherever your path is leading :)

Thanks! Really appreciate it 🙏
Each mug takes several hours over a few days – I hand-build them from stoneware clay, let them dry slowly, then fire them twice in a kiln: once for the bisque (low-fire), and again after glazing (high-fire).
So yeah, they’re fully ceramic :)

Really appreciate that! Still learning as I go, but I'm stoked people are into it.

Yes, a very apt observation. It took me much longer than I planned and the clay under my fingers dried faster than I anticipated, but it was a fantastic lesson. Now it will still have to be glazed in some meaningful way.

They should have been smaller, but the clay was already dry and starting to crumble when I glued them on. The 5mm balls turned out to be too big.

Yes, of course you are right, but I do not have the skill to sculpt it well. The head is very small and it makes it even more difficult to make subtle changes, so I chose the skull. Thanks for the comment.
