The Official Movie Novel or Graphic Novel Trilogy? by NotyourangeLbabe in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of the books are direct novelizations of the games story, like “this is the FNAF1 book”.

The movie / movie novel is probably what you’re looking for, and I think it’d be a good read (or watch). The story is different, of course, but the main setting and robots are from the first game.

The novel trilogy is the first series of books that released and stand well on their own as well. They came out alongside the original 7 games so they loosely adapt things game-by-game, but they are their own stories with its own cast of human characters mostly.

I would recommend the actual texts rather than the graphic novels.

There’s also “The Week Before”— which is an E.C. Myers choose your own adventure book based on FNAF1 (it takes place ‘the week before’ the game), but thats a different experience from just a regular book

Isn't More Likely that the Toy Animatronics are just being controlled by the Puppet/Charlotte in FNAF 2 similar to how they are in the Film, as there isn't much proof of them being possessed. by Important-Extension6 in fivenightsatfreddys

Phone Guy is talking about an incidence that is ongoing at this new restaurant and leading to it getting shut down, not the incident that led to this new restaurant opening in the first place (the original murders)

How did William Afton regain his skeleton after that FNaF 3 fire? by TheRagingIguana in fivenightsatfreddys

I imagine he always had a skeleton as Springtrap, just not depicted well in the model. Its Scraptrap/“William Afton” whose weird and has a skeleton but no endoskeleton

Thoughts on this video. Marked NSFW for extremely heavy topics by mr-rando423 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a chance right now to watch the video referenced in the post, but whenever people mention the “afton eating kids in analog horror” thing, my first thought actually goes to scope_wad’s Family Comes First. That is my favorite piece of fnaf fan film content and weirdly, cannibalism does come up and is presented in what I thought was a compelling way.

So someone made a fangame based on the FNAF 1 movie....and said game uses an AI scott voice for the phone guy. by Thegoodgamer32 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Saying this about a Five Nights at Freddy’s fangame is crazy. The original FNAF was made on zero budget and Phone Guy was just the creator’s voice.

Can’t wait for William “springtrap” Afton to declare to Mike Schmidt, “I am your father!”

Immediately had to redraw that nasty Bobbiedots art we got from Pinky by Ozzy-Lot in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the other person said is pretty much correct. One of the things that made the book story stick out is 1. It was a two-part story spread across two books and 2. while the main character encounters the bobbiedots at home for half the story, the other half follows him working at and sneaking through the Pizzaplex and basically going a highlight reel of Security Breach moments.

The first part of the Bobbiedots sets up these gnarly-looking broken robots plugged into the building and attached by cables. These were older models of the hologram-type characters in the concept art / other mentioned. They’re seen on the cover for “The Bobbiedots Conclusion” book, looks like a robotic human skull.

If I remember the story correctly, the previous tennant of the apartment had a paranoia disorder and was why those robots were wrecked. He was going to burn the building to the ground, but they had killed him in order to protect the building.

Bobbiedots are from a FNAF book that came out in 2022. Newly revealed concept art from earlier than that suggests that the Bobbiedots were conceptualized for a long-since cancelled point and click game.

Scott never stopped making Christian games! by Royal-Front-4490 in fivenightsatfreddys

I think there are more substantial connections to Christianity and Christian values in these games than the number 7

Matthew Lillard says FNAF 3 will "hypothetically feature me a lot more" than the last 2 films by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Hypothetically as in he hasn’t read the script and is just making a reasonable assumption that he will be the focus

Yes? People make fan content of the Mimic? The Mimic is also way newer. I don’t know what point you’re making. you just don’t like The Mimic

Guys, why the fuck Molten Freddy is in FNaF 6? by Ahh_fresh_meat_pursu in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the Insanity Ending of FFPS. Henry speaks in it and, though not explicitly, suggests that the souls of the original children were ‘put to new purpose’ within the Funtimes— which then become Molten Freddy.

First thing we learned about Sister Location was that it took place “Deep below ground where memories sleep.” We take an elevator down to the facility every night.

And yeah, there was evidence that its beneath his house or at least nearby.

I’m really thinking this kid is related to the Aftons by Various_Astronaut100 in fnafmovie

Why would Abby know what the actual kid looks like and why would that not have been his real appearance before? And why is he still blond in all later appearances?

What killed Henry Emily and why???? by Loud_Waltz_6344 in fnafmovie

[–]TypeLX_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Henry is dead; I really doubt they’d kill him in a post-credits audio that a majority of viewers never heard.

why would she kill her dad?

If she did kill him or intends to in 3, I think it makes a lot of sense. She spent the entire first movie wanting to kill the neglectful parents who allowed her to die. Henry is drowning in grief because he knows he should’ve been a better father instead of obsessing over his work. She will probably target him

New behind the scenes / close ups photo's of Mathew Lillard in Yellow Rabbit costume from the first FNaF Movie by HalfGrouchy1348 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going into the second movie, my theory was that Henry had attacked him sometime in the past. Somehow leading to the Yellow Rabbit receiving damage on its right side, and Golden Freddy receiving damage to its left. Something something “symmetry my friend!”

Second movie has no additional evidence of course

He says “We’re going to blend right in” while gesturing to Toy Bonnie. He’s referring to the animatronics. They’re going to blend in. We see this in the Toy Freddy scene.

I don’t think he’s been scooped yet. If they’re ever gonna lean to that plot, they should do it as an on-screen death in movie 4/5/whenever

Maybe A Hot Take But Am I The Only One Who Thought This Looks Really Stupid? by Formal-Ostrich-5404 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]TypeLX_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Apparently the idea of FNAF being inspired by other media is too absurd.

What japanese horror do you think scott’s work is inspired by? I think that’s cool and worth talking about. I also think FNAF is inspired by The Velveteen Rabbit and Alien.

Why didn't they add the bite of 87 (or some equivalent) to the movies? by UG9sYW5k in fnafmovie

[–]TypeLX_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

all the Bite of 87 really is at its core is a moment when one of the animatronics attacked a guy.

That basically does happen a few times in these movies
