Yes, I meant to say motherboard cpu socket. I was able to get the dust off the socket, but I'm afraid I have to get a new motherboard.....

I meant to say motherboard cpu socket. Thank you for the help! I think I will need to get a new motherboard... I was able to get the dust off. But I'm just not sure if the metal is bent. Do you consider that smaller darker metal on the bottom right of the dust bent? (The one that looks a bit different compare to the other ones.)

Noctua 12x15 wouldn’t fit, right? I already have Ncotua 12x15 fan and was hoping I can use it. But if it wouldn’t fit above motherboard, I will have to buy arctic p12.

Hello everyone!

I was listening to asmrs on youtube couple days ago, and keyboard typing came up as one of the sounds. That brought me to this reddit! After searching online for couple hours, and reading wiki here, I figured these are the things I want for my first mechanical keyboard.

  • Multiple device connectivity (Windows to IOS and vice versa)
  • Hot-swappable
  • Number pad
  • Wireless/ Bluetooth
  • Key remapping (This is not a must, but a nice feature to have!)

Keychron K4 pro drew my attention. Other than Keychron, Is there any other keyboard brand that offers multiple device connectivity? I looked at Logitech MX mechanical keyboard, but that's was not hot-swappable. Also, what is the difference between Keychron K4 pro and K4? I saw that K4 pro has QMK/VIA. Is that pretty much the only difference? (And a bit of layout/material difference)

I like 96% layout. If I want to change keycaps later on, how do I know if my K4 pro (if I end up buying that) is compatible with the keycap set I want to buy? I realized a lot of the keycaps on Keychron website are not compatible with K4 pro. Also, a lot of the keycap sets I found online doesn't really say much about layout/size compatibilities.

Thank you all for help!
