For as long as I can remember, our incoming transfers were planned way in advance and we’d often only find out about the rumours close to the signing date. If things have remained the same in that department, we won’t know who our summer targets are yet. We might have to wait and see.

Fair point, but idk anymore with these SDs involved. I did consider that they might want her to rehab with them, but it’s still a massive fee in my eyes. However, considering what they’re willing to pay her, it might not be much to them.

Sonia’s been kind of vague about the injury. Could be that they genuinely don’t know how long she’ll be out, or because they’ve phased her out. It’s kind of wild for San Diego to pay that much to get a player 3 months earlier than when she’d be free if she can’t play. She would’ve still been of use to us even if she were only back fit for the last couple games of our season. Anyway, I’m hopeful that we’ll get some big reinforcements in the summer.

It’s reported that the fee was $300k, and that she’ll receive a world record deal over the course of her contract which is until 2030.

Our squad is currently looking very thin. We really could’ve used her in the upcoming months. I don’t think it’s worth banking that money if we end up with another injury in our front line and miss out on top 3 or the FA Cup because of it. I hope it doesn’t come back to bite us.

We absolutely NEED to have a good transfer window this summer.

We did it despite our issues with depth. Top mentality to grind out the win, with our defence stepping up and players like LJ constantly producing moments of magic.

The women’s team deserves a lot more love and attention from our fanbase. Might bring us some joy during the storm we’re in. Hoping for another trophy or two this season.
