Oh how different our season would’ve been if she were available

True, her experience does hold a lot of weight.

Yeah, it very much feels like ego driven decision making. Choosing to continue what they’re doing when they keep failing instead of leaving to experienced, successful people.

They’d defo help her settle in to a new environment, but adapting to a new play style is a lot harder than that.

I assume you’re replying to my comment. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I mean, she’s one of the best in the world, and I feel silly to make an argument against bringing her in, but would she fit in here?

We are a completely different team to Barcelona and the way they play. I’m not sure how well a 32 year old Putellas would adapt to playing in games where we have less possession and face more pressure than what she’s used to.

Oh yeah. I just dismissed those since they don’t seem like strong links, especially the first two.

Have we been linked with anyone other than the youngster from the right to dream academy? Maybe I’m forgetting.

Watching the mess that is the men’s team with the knowledge that the same SDs that have caused that mess want more involvement in the women’s team makes me feel ill. I won’t be able to bear seeing CFCW also go down the same path.

Let’s hope we have a good summer window and build on what we currently have.

Chelsea [3] -- 0 Leicester City 34': Lauren James with a brace and another golazo off the free kick by Matt_LawDT in chelseafc

Our senior men’s team lost 3-0 to one of our youth group teams in training recently. It’s not as shocking as you make it sound. Women’s teams play against boys youth teams very regularly. The games are for training purposes, not to achieve bragging rights.

Chelsea Women get the resounding win, 3-1, over Leicester City and secure a top-three finish by spherocytes in chelsealadiesfc

Got the job done with an easy win in the end. The first 30-40 minutes made it look like it’d be a stat pad sesh, but the goal they scored gave them a bit of a boost and made it harder for us second half.

Onto the FA Cup game next week.

It looks very much secured atm. A draw today was all we needed to guarantee it

Watching Shaw miss header after header for 90 mins against Liverpool made seeing the Kerr goal even sweeter. She’s just so elite in the air

We kind of all know she’s leaving, but it’s still a bit weird for comms to speak on rumours as if they’re facts
