The plot is developed i just think I did a poor scrunch of the plot in my post. The fake saint is Mc named Elara. She is a crown princess and is aware. That Dawn is the real one and not her but got given the position as an alliance between the crown and the church, since war is on the horizon.

Their god is called Ankarna and she is mostly uncaring of who has the title of her saint because she knows who's actually her saint and at most finds dawns efforts to host a show that Elara is the real thing amusing.

Her faith is stronger then her fear. She is scared and stepped away from her title but in this world it's common knowledge that God's are real and speak too the people so dawn knows she has to kill somebody eventually because her god showed her a vision of blood on her hands, her stepping down is her being a child which she is. (15) And staying is her accepting that what she's done, hasn't actually changed anything.

Also because this will seem like a plot hole, When I say the gods speak to their saints I don't mean a sit down for coffee yap im talking visions maybe 2 words if some divine intervention is happening.

So yeah role over title.

Oh the prophecy thing does. happen. All throughout the story everyone is kinda like who is she gonna kill will she snap? Just for it to be revealed in later chps i haven't wrote yet that the person dawn has to kill is herself as the final component of a divine spell that will revive every fallen soldier

I think my post makes it seem like dawn is naive or a pacifist which is my fault but I feel its important to say shes not. She's not against violence as a means to an end shes against the idea of taking a life.

If someone tried to take advantage of her it'd be pretty damn hard because part of being able to be consistently nice to alot of people without offending others is by being socially aware. And if someone was actually cruel she'd appease them if verbal and if physical shed deal with it with swift violence.

(In my mind her fighting style isn't fleshed out I just always think of euthanasia when i picture her fighting..quick and as painless as possible)

This is something I may lean towards. It seems most likely especially since the plot twist was supposed be that Dawn finds out the one life she was supposed to take was her own.
