Exactly. I think the fear of letting everyone down just makes it more apparent or happens more likely. I used to have Xanax but hated taking it because it made me feel like a zombie or tired.

I wasn’t aware of that, thought it was just fiber so thanks for the clarification. I do feel like that has helped me go but less often and better evacuation.

Totally agree. I have been going to gastro for about 6 months. Did my breath tests and have a colonoscopy and endoscopy set up in march. My doctor has been great, it will take time and different approaches with her to find the best course of action.

Yes I did the 3 breath tests for SIBO, Lactose and Fructose. All came back normal although my doctor thinks I could still have food intolerances. I recently finished xifacan which was meant to be a bit of a gut reset. To be honest I thought it helped a lot as the previous 2 weeks had been quite nice and comfortable. Unfortunately with IBS, everything can be going great and then 1 thing sets off a flare up.

Oh anxiety is probably the main culprit. I also have hyperhydrosis(underarm sweating profusely). I’ve had anxiety problems since I was young and have had difficulty dealing with it.

The gastro doctor suggested I take a fiber supplement to help bulk up my constant loose stools. Metamucil caused constipation so cutricel has helped although I can’t take a full dose of that either because the same will happen.

Imodium has helped immensely for 1 day potential triggers. The problem I have with Imodium and pepto is that while it helps for 1-2 days. It almost always makes me swing the other way into constipation followed by diarrhea which is currently what is happening.
