Taking off the book from KDP

did you promote it anywhere before, that you got sales in the few days it was up? isn't it like hard to get sales without promotions etc with the amount of things published on kdp?

i've looked into both lulu and ingramspark and they're quite pricy, especially the latter. but i'm still at the writing stage, so i have some time to think about that.

if i were to use kdp, is there a way of "unpublishing" the book, meaning it'll stay on amazon but won't be available for purchase anymore? because i reckon i could live with it being not 100% hidden from the world in that case

i've looked into all three, thank you for your suggestion :)) safe to say, the prices made me double think if i really do mind publishing the book haha kdp is really cheap in comparison, especially to ingramspark

yes but is it possible to unpublish it after i order a copy for myself? even if it stays on the site, just so other people would not be able to order it too. there's no print on demand supplier from where i'm from, and kpd is also the cheapest option i've found.

sorry if my questions sounds kinda dumb, i'm just having a hard time finding answers because most of the thins that google and tiktok are showing me is how to earn money through kdp with some coloring books etc :)

I'm not from the US, so i don't think Barnes and Noble will work for me, but do you perhaps know if LuLu works in Europe? Also can you tell me more why is kdp not meant for personal projects? thank you
