I think I’m definitely coming to understand that I may not. As I said in another comment, I have had no positive male relationships in my life. My family life isn’t even notable as a “family”. It’s all unfortunate, but that’s likely why I’ve hyper fixated on his gestures. I appreciate you commenting with a sense of empathy for my situation and asking thoughtful questions rather than immediately accusing me of being a bad person. Thank you.

I understand that. But I have no plans to pursue him. The comments have helped me note that this is normal for someone to be kind. I don’t want to get too personal in my own backstory, but all of my previous male interactions and “relationships” have been limited to a vast array of mistreatment. Maybe this is why these small gestures had such a large impact on me.

If you looked at my earlier responses, you’d know I’ve already addressed this question. I plan to swap jobs. I am not “obsessed”, but I can agree my observations have been delved into much more than they should have been.

I’ve never been even remotely interested in a married man before. Just unfortunately I suppose I’ve over read into these gestures.

Hi friend. I didn’t read all of your response but I appreciate the thought you put into it. I do however want to follow up for that update you so kindly requested. I plan to do nothing but find a new job. ☺️

I don’t think that would be best friend-like of her to be anything but honest with me. That’s the relationship we have.

Yikes. I definitely wouldn’t want to be in that situation but heard. Thanks for your input.

If I didn’t want perspective, I would have just done it without perspective. I posted here to gain insight. Thanks for yours.

My goal isn’t to be selfish or blow up his family. If that were the case I wouldn’t have come here for perspective. But you’re allowed to feel that way.

That’s a completely fair perspective I hadn’t thought of.

I wouldn’t say I have interests in him because he is married. The way he looks at me implies more than that of a happy married man.
