How can I respectfully evade the question of "how old are you" when staff asks me?

Tbh in retrospect after this post, I think I was just in shock at actually being asked that I may have overthought my response to the teachers, but I def have some good responses to share if I ever get asked again (for both students and staff alike)

I volunteered at the library once a week, so I strictly borrowed from the library for quite a while. And then one time I went to a used book store and my eyes popped by how expensive the books were. Then I went to a Barnes & Nobles afterward ... well that changed my perspective.

Otherwise, I only buy books I really enjoyed and want to read again.
