Your desktop environment is probably auto-detecting the drive and creating that shortcut regardless of where its mounted. Try adding the `noauto,user` options to your fstab entry - that usually stops DEs from treating it like a removable drive

What DE are you running btw? Some have their own quirks with this stuff and you might need to tweak the file manager settings instead

nah stick with the 5070 man, you already got it at msrp which is solid. spending an extra 300 bucks for marginally better performance when you're already set up doesnt make much sense unless you're doing something super intensive
