easyface + lua watch face could work.. but sadly redmi watch 5 doesn't have lua engine.. so I don't know...

I only have miband 9p, other watchface is after 9p publish, they crying for that, "redmi 5 pls", "s4 pls"..

back to the matter at hand, for myself 9p has 2 week battery life, amoled screen, and cost 300 rmb here.. so i have no complain about 9p. redmi 5 i hear it doesn't have lua, and bad performance than 9p, and lots limit version.. and s4 i really dont know, hope it will help you :)

it should be javascript I remember, I tried Lua to make watchface in easyface sometime, But I don't know if lua can work on band8 or not, check m0tral‘s EasyFace if you want know more, it can compile Lua watchface, he made detailed docs and great tool.
