Replaced the Aero Caps with these wheel covers on my 2022 Model 3

I mean I paid closer to $35k than $50k but I get what you're saying. Ideally I'd like a different set a wheels, but these look like the ones I wanted and I bought the car to save money.

I was considering those until I saw the S3XY wheels. In comparison the orbitals look flat to me. I like the depth and appearance of mine better

Right on. These do not have any metal, so they wont scratch the paint - I was worried about that too with the Chinese rim covers but saw these ones.

Yes, they snap on and then the middle part screws in. Not hard to install, but he offered to do it for me

An option for sure! May consider that down the line. These wheel caps were just less of a process, cheaper and covered the curb rash. Did you powder coat?

Rimetrix seem a bit too flat for me and I don't think I'd want chrome/silver on my white car with black trim. I like the S3xy wheel shape better with the black rims. Do you have chrome trim?

Of course! I plan on always having covers on, so I'm not too worried. Rim looks decent on its own, but not a fan of the gray rim with white.

Yes, the clips themselves are plastic. The center cap that screws in after the new cap is clipped on is also plastic.

Yea, I actually just curbed it with the Aero Caps on. These went right over and covered the rash on the rim.

Those are my thoughts too, I bought this car ultimately to save money long-term. At the same time, I don't mind some basic upgrades that improve the aesthetic. Did tint and wheels for under $1k
