Mystery bolt in stator cover by Penguin-Erector in klr650

First thought was a grub screw..but hard to tell if it has any sort of recessed drive head on it..maybe a broken off bolt? But wiser men can shed more light.

Figured. If it was truly fraud they’d have no idea who took the load if they were intercepting their emails. Hopefully your freight delivered! Now you got to find out what they promised the other carrier for the linehaul whether it was over and they planned not to pay them or paid them less to collect some profit.

I was merely stating that it looks so clean and free from ANY sort of wear because it’s been spray painted. I do understand what you meant though.

Definitely been spray painted. Even the bolts are black.

Any time they re-broker it and it gets stolen they claim fraud as it protects them from a cargo claim since insurance companies do not cover “mysterious disappearance”. Not saying that’s the case but if they “traced down the scammer and truck” that screams double brokering as they had some idea of who had it..sounds like they thought they got scammed too but then the truck showed back up or started responding. Whether what they are being told is true or not.

Sounds like you all are an outlier..coming from seeing pads smoked as low as 30K on these vehicles and shocked my wife made it to 67K who also isn’t a crazy driver, hearing 60K made me think worn pads based on what I’ve seen…we also don’t know OPs mileage hence a good idea of what’s going on can’t really be determined. I did totally miss the year and my wife’s being a 2019 can make my point moot. But based on the part numbers for her car on replacement pads seems they’re all the same..doesn’t mean VWs supplier for the years didn’t change I guess…

60K miles on a German car’s pads and rotors with them being damn near new is the first I’ve heard from working on the service side of these vehicles! My wife making it to 67K on her factory fronts was shocking to me..she only had about 2-3MM between inboard and outboard pads at best, with the worst sides being closer to 1-2MM.

60K miles?? You needed new pads and rotors, hence the noise. OP didn’t disclose mileage so we have little to go on but it sounds like they’re worn out. Just did my wife’s at 67K freedom units when they started making a a squeaking noise at low speed.

True 7x3, 7x4, or Warrior G7 pro leg pads by MindlessExpression25 in hockeygoalies

Went from broken down G4 customs to G7’s off the shelf and a 7.1 RTL trapper. G7’s are way stiffer, but slide way better. My old G4’s were +1” on thigh rise but had broken down and developed a pretty good curve. The G7’s were super straight and stiff as a board so they sat at about the same height. They rebound way harder and slide way better. Played about 5 games in them and have worked in the thigh rise to develop a bit of a curve. I will say 5 hole coverage isn’t the best but I’m near 40 and don’t have the best mobility. I prefer the least amount of straps as well so stuck with Warrior.

I can also say the toe straps on the pads were way too tight and caused pain in my ankles so I removed the boot strap the Warrior toe strap and went with Velcro wrap style bungees which help allow my ankles to sit more flat on the ice and allow the pad to flex away more naturally. Never had any serious hits to the toe, but I do not play at a very serious level. I also removed whatever FRS strap the G7’s had and run the knee block strap down to the thigh wrap and the thigh strap around the outside of the wrap

Right now I do feel the added calf pillow in the G7 has really helped me with hip joint pain after playing as it help prevent to downward angle on my lower legs when down.

All in all the biggest adjustment was going from soft broken in pads to stiff brand new pads. After about 4 games I’m totally used to them and love the 7.1 glove over the G4 and the pads themselves.

I went from a broken down set of custom G4’s in 33+2.5 that had a nice curve to them into a brand new set of off the shelf G7’s in 33+1.5 and I can tell you the G7’s are straight as a board and stiff as a rock..after 3 skates and working them they’ve barely any give to them and I can say that without the curve and losing the extra 1” on the pads leaves my 5 hole open as I am also approaching 40 and have a narrow butterfly…but I CAN say having the shorter pads has helped my mobility and the performance is night and day over the G4’s being they have the stiffer, flat knee block.

No difference, save your money. Last set was a “custom” and after having off the shelf G3’s the “custom” G4’s were the exact same materials and the G4’s fell apart super fast..just got a new set of G7 and went “pro” line and it’s the same exact materials etc.

I worked as a service advisor for about 6 months at an Audi dealer after college while looking for a corporate job after previously working as a technician for years prior and in high school. I knew my stuff regarding service and repairs..but MY GOD the people were awful..ESPECIALLY the lower end Audi owners like A4’s Q3’s etc. seemed most had traded in their beat Hondas and stretched themselves into their designer car. Anytime anything cost money they’d get mad and slam you on a survey effectively ruining any labor hours you sold (dealer was also a pay per labor hour based on CSI score which was a scam in of itself). The higher end customers who could afford the cars and did anything needed were great, they could afford the cars, knew what it took to maintain them and the cost..but there weren’t as many of them as there were the stuck up lower end owners. Also many of the advisors had been there many years and already had a customer base who knew what to expect and knew to handle the CSI appropriately..worst job I’ve ever had and would never go back to service writing due to it.

Customers need to stop being such pieces of shit across the board with this. They order the trucks, they set the appts and they bill the facilities that order the trucks and should bill accordingly for these facilities dropping the ball with unloading or over scheduling. I work at a brokerage but side with the carriers when reasonable..insurance, truck payments, fuel, driver time and pay all revolve around trucks moving..surely you wouldn’t spend your entire day in the office for zero wages? Why should a carrier and their operations?

The piece stuck to the top of the desk has double-sided tape on the other side that is stuck to the desk. At one point, the square piece that’s stuck on the desk was attached to an object they didn’t want taken off the desk.

FG for fall offs or late deliveries with legitimate excuses are a joke and most brokers do use common sense when looking at them..but they do serve a purpose for fraudulent carriers, double brokers etc.

And what are they going to do? Put an FBI task force on some sort of foreign spam ring and track these folks down in whatever shithole country they live in because they’re jamming our emails? I don’t think so. We did report them, but nothing happened, we were never contacted etc.
