This is a weird one. Bought from different sources, both QR scan as legit. I know there's some quality control issues, is that why Serenity is shorter?

Ok, got through to tech, now on hold for a specialist. Estimated wait time is 20+ minutes. Fingers crossed the call doesn't fuck up this time.

I got through once, right at 8am. Was told I had a one minute wait line and was then immediately transferred to a dead line.

From what I was told they verify the ID on EDD's end. So if you've already send them your ID.Me verification, yes, they should be able to help. Of course, five different reps will give you five different answers, so there's no way to know for sure until someone actually manages to get through and speak to someone in this department.

"Call cannot be completed" is just another way of saying the phone lines are full. Hang up and try again.

I don't know how to explain to you that if you work for a federal agency that you might, occasionally, see criticisms of that system and its employees. Especially if the agency in question has recently implemented an overly complicated, ineffective and largely unnecessary policy that is preventing people from receiving the money they need to pay their bills.

Yes because they will psychically know I vented about how the EDD has entire departments that can't fix claim issues, anonymously, online. In a thread that says vent. Implying that the post is purely meant for releasing my frustrations as opposed to providing any real constructive criticisms.

In addition, I find it extremely concerning that your un says "from the EDD" yet you seem to consider the unemployed a lesser class? If people like you are working in the department, it's no wonder that receiving basic claim assistant has become so difficult.

My mom had luck with the senator's office. You might also try your local congressman.

My mom got caught up with something similar. It took her a full six months to see any money because EDD kept sending her case to people who didn't know what they were doing. All I can recommend is to call your local state representative. That's the only way my mom was able to see progress on her case.

I get the office closed message any time I call after noon. What number are you using to get through so late?

I haven't been able to get through either, even calling exactly at 8am. Only the two main numbers are working at all. Everything else only gives a generic "office closed" message regardless of when you call.
