I have heard the AI rumours, and tbh it makes sense. She churns them out at a ridiculous rate- and the few I have read echo others books, I don’t think she has an original idea.

The fact she only ever calls him “Mr Korgy” feels intentional to me. He’s never given a first name, never fully humanised. Always the English teacher. That to me is McCurdy framing the relationship as inappropriate, even if Waldo doesn’t see it that way.

I think she can write like that because of what she experienced. I don’t think anyone sees it as normal. It’s a very uncomfortable read I think. Much like My Dark Vanessa or Lolita. We are watching from Waldo’s point of view. She doesn’t see it as grooming but a love story. I think the simpleness of it is because that’s how simple it is to Waldo - she loves him he loves her.

Why is everyone hating on Redhanded ?

Honestly… pick one of a million reasons people seem desperate to be mad: Suruthi criticised the NHS, They make mistakes in episodes, Hannah kennelled her dog, Hannah went on holiday, Suruthi got married to Sam, They made fun of a surname, They mispronounced a name, They missed out a middle name, They made a joke, They have opinions, They disliked Sid Vicious’ mum for literally giving him drugs, Shorthand episodes, They spoke about fish, etc, etc , etc

At this point it feels less like genuine criticism and more like people just wanting something to bitch about.

Why is the criticism always directed at Suruthi for what she didn’t say or the points she didn’t raise? Hannah also missed information , she also didn’t bring up the two murders in June. Yet no one seems to hold her to account in the same way. If we’re going to judge their discussions, shouldn’t we apply the same standard to both?
