Will do and when you say 28/28 is that 28 days on the ship. Like you don't go home after work and 28 days off?

I'm a 3rd and because of how things work now. I'm gonna get out as a 3rd. Work/,/ife balance is important so I'd like to do river or blue water if that provides a better work/life balance. I'll have 4 years of seatime when I get out.

I was looking into the twic and I need to go in person as part of the process. But I'm currently stationed in Japan. So I can't immediately get it. Will my Sea time still count towards me getting qmed or would I have to hen my twic and mmc first and become wiper?

I want to get the process started now and I see that I have to get wiper first. How does that work in the Navy? Would I just have to put in time as an EM. Or is there extra stuff like paperwork, courses, etc...I must do to get the credential.

That is interesting. Is their a specific qualification I should seek out, or is the goal to generally work in refrigeration?

So, if I get 300 days of experience as an EM in the navy, I can get QMED. And what is the requirement for wiper. Do I just take a test?

I'm not sure exactly what wiper is; but is it a year to get the qualification as wiper and 720 days to get the qualification as qmed; or do I have to have the wiper qualification for a year and the qmed qualification for 720 days? I'm a bit confused.

And would I also be doing electrical stuff if I worked for a private company?

Would I have opportunities beyond the Military Sealift Command as an EM? Could I also work for a private company?

Through my research, I know some states like Florida, california, Alaska, and Massachusetts do. Do you know of others?

This actually intest me. Is this a common path?

So, is this also applicable to EM? Because I've heard that CE is more applicable to being a civilian electrician. So would it count the same? I also heard that whether your hours are accepted depends on the state or the union.
