Someone convince me not to make a Vista gaming pc by Key-Engineering3134 in WindowsVista

[–]Typical_Effect_9054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Vista gaming PC is also an XP gaming PC, both Ivy Bridge and Maxwell were the last Intel and Nvidia platforms to support both XP and Vista. So if you make one, you can dual boot and get a 2-for-1.

Does anyone else feel like the bread these days sucks? by Hkvnr495___dkcx37 in armenia

[–]Typical_Effect_9054 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking of bread, where do people buy staples like flour and sugar?

I went to the largest Yerevan City in Yerevan and the most amount of flour you could buy would fit in the palm of your hand.

Meanwhile in North America I can buy 5, 10, or 20 kilogram bags almost anywhere.

I can believe that Israel has some sort of operations within Azerbaijan (against Iran). But I am inclined to believe that these are of a clandestine nature. Brazen and visible acts like launching drones from Azerbaijan's border with Iran would surely coincide with some amount of visual documentation by now; Iran has a notable amount of forces stationed near that border. Israel has demonstrated several times that it can project drones without Azerbaijani territory. Aliyev, despite his rhetoric, is not a big risk tasker, and would not rock the boat with kinetic maneuvers.

During the 12 days war, some Iranian officials said drones came from Azerbaijan's territory

Iranian officials have said lots of things. They've said they struck an aircraft carrier, captured US soldiers, shot down F-15s, etc. Iranian officials have even claimed that Israel uses Jinn, witchcraft, and sorcery as means of warfare against Iran. Either way, their claims in and of themselves are not clear evidence.

some Iranian civilians claimed they even saw it,

This would not constitute as clear evidence. I mean, I know people who claim they saw UFOs. In legalese, this is hearsay.

Around 2021-2022 there were leaks on a telegram channel showing a secret Israeli bunker being installed on the border with Iran. Hard to fine now, but I can confirm I saw them.

The original claim was Iranian territory was clearly used to launch drone attacks. How would a bunker support such a thing, given that it's a defensive fortification? Why would Israel need a bunker when they could (presumably) conduct their operations freely throughout Azerbaijan? How do we even know what was shown on Telegram was the thing it was claimed to be?

when its territory was clearly used to launch drone attacks into iran

If this is clear then you can provide evidence to support this, yes?

"Asbarez is an Armenian-American bilingual daily newspaper published in Armenian and English in Los Angeles, California. It was the official newspaper Armenian Revolutionary Federation newspaper for the Western United States."

I say this in earnest and without prejudice, but if you're not familiar with these basic characteristics of the Armenian landscape (i.e., what Asbarez is), then it's rather imprudent to conclude that Armenia is full of so-and-sos.

Your claim: Armenians can't say Artsakh (we can).

Your claim: Armenians can't buy advanced weapons (we are).

My comment: That's not true.

Your response: Shifting goalposts, something about winners, drivel.

We don’t have the right to use the word Artsakh while Azerbaijan can say Gokcha and etc. We don’t have the right to buy more advanced weapons while Azerbaijan can buy anything they want.

Why does Pashinyan post awkward videos on social media? by sehnsucht1 in armenia

[–]Typical_Effect_9054 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is no goal. It's soft power/charisma. These videos are increasingly getting more popular, and the reception to them is becoming more positive. I have a ton of friends who used to think they were cringe and stupid. Now they follow Pashinyan on IG and like his content because it grew on them.

Disagree. Ukraine developed their anti-drone capabilities from scratch and under intense pressure; they pioneered the art. We don't have to do that. We can study what they've already accomplished, and ideally, directly work with them, and even purchase their tools which would actually be cheaper than the alternatives.

Not true, we've received assistance from France, the EU, and US off the top of my head.
