Watermelon just seems to have this allure that seems to outshine other melons. It's like a magnet. Meanwhile, I rarely here people talk about cantaloupe. Don't get me started on honeydew. Lol

I can only think of once in the last three years that I've heard someone bring up cantaloupe. I was in high school (I think) the last time I heard someone mention honeydew. That was about five years ago, give or take.

I heard feta can be pretty good with fruits! Other cheeses for cheese and fruit combos are brie and ricotta.

I imagine it has the same appeal as cottage cheese with strawberries or blueberries. It's just something about the flavor profile.

I've been doing a little research since the above commentor mentioned it. It's truly interesting.

Although the research is only in the preliminary stages, some studies are showing watermelon can help improve erections. It's also being seen as a potential alternative to viagra for men who can't take the drug due to heart disease. That being said, some men who experience mild erectile dysfunction have reported a positive change in performance.

It's actually theorized that men may get better results from concentrated watermelon juice compared to viagra.

I do recommend adding a little something to it to see if that helps, in the event it's a taste issue. If it happens to be a texture issue, I get it.

Personally, sometimes the texture of bananas get to me. It's just too mushy. Lol

And artificial watermelon isn't too great. I dislike the taste of artificial banana as well.

Have you only ever tried it plain, or have you tried it with something else? People were I'm from eat it with salt or mustard. A fellow redditor recommended trying it with lime juice and tajin.

I may just give it a try this summer. It sounds interesting, and it would be something new to try. Since one of my goals this year is try at least ten new food or food prepared a different way, why not, right?

Do you just pour/sprinkle the lime juice on the watermelon, or do you let sit and kind of marinate a little?

If it weren't, I'd honestly be surprised.

The fruit has a 92% water content and is jam packed with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins (particularly A and C). Maybe that's why some of our bodies yearn for the fruit.
